Film editor Rey Ciso (pronounced 'ciseaux', like the French word for scissors; an appropriate name for an editor) who suffered a debilitating editing accident, is working on a horror film as people keep dying around him.
I choose to believe this funny 80s Italian grindhouse tribute has terrible editing as an hommage to the genre and the title. If there was an Oscar for being meta, this movie would take the statuette.
(It was also nice to see a cameo by Laurence R. Harvey, the stout bloke from Human Centipede 2!)
Woah boy! I was not expecting that to be a straight up comedy. It has a few moments, and it fairly lovingly and accurately sends up the giallo, which is pretty cool, but it gets to slapstick, and the joke goes on too long.
A terribly unfunny spoof of Giallo flicks... would have been good as a short maybe. I've seen the duo's previous movie released under Troma for which the style worked but I guess "The Editor" looks too good for what it wants to be.

Really great parody of Giallo with lots of references. Love the weird dubbing, cool gore effects, and over the top performance! The humour was spot on!
