Not a diary I will be opening again. Its a well made film with some nifty animation sequences. However, the personal growth of the leading character is forced and not particularly interesting, in my opinion as a non-teenage girl.
I saw a few that mixed film with illustrations this one by far actually made it work, directed and written marvelously by Marielle Heller

Even tho the movie is acclimated on the 70s, i still feel it as a nowadays Lolita. An-old-man-teenage-affair through the eye of the young lady, that dispite from the fact that has a lot to grow as a person, she's still consicious of her wills, either from a sexual nature or not. Loved the non-judmental narrative of the movie on such a sensitive topic. Impressed me in a good manner, didnt expected anything from this movie.
Other thing to point out, the beautiful aesthetic, mixing retro camera effects and the "rookie-sh" drawings.
