The cast elevate this film up a lot.
Everything else to do with 'The Devil Wears Prada' is all perfectly fine don't get me wrong, but I most certainly wouldn't have enjoyed it as much without the cast. Meryl Streep does an excellent job portraying Miranda, while Anne Hathaway matches her as Andrea. Emily Blunt (Emily) is also enjoyable, as is Stanley Tucci (Nigel).
I never, personally, held too much interest in the plot, it does get a little bit repetitive in parts. With that said, thanks to Streep & Co., it's still a film that's definitely worth watching.
A good and entertaining film to pass your time with perfect perfomance from Meryl Streep and super Hathaway and Blunt..
7.2/10
Hahaha. After 14 years I decided to watch this and oh my god, this is terribly boring. Corny, it has no morals, shallow and dull. I have absolutely no idea what was the main aim with this film and the huge fanbase and hype... I am at a loss, really. This was a huge disappointment to me.
It's an okay movie. The story didn't really interest me. I do love me some Emily Blunt and Anne Hathaway. Meryl Streep is great too.
There should have a bit more chemistry or should have given some more time to Anne and Meryl. I just wanted to see more of them together.
Great chick flick about a girl trying to break into journalism using a fashion magazine as a stepping stone. Great fashionista movie.... love the clothes, the sites, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Meryl Streep all fabulous! Fun movie with nice cameos.
There's a book that's a sequel to this book called Revenge Wears Prada. Check it out!
My favorite movie <33
Not very sure why but I always thought this was supposed to be a feminist movie, but it sadly only goes on to reinforce patriarchal ideals. Would have loved to see Andy thriving at Runway, and would've definitely enjoyed this a whole lot more had we seen both Christian and Nate being taken down a peg or two.
The film is a delightful and entertaining comedy with a strong cast and excellent performances

What a classic!!! With a star-studded cast, how could it not be? Meryl Streep absolutely demolished the role, with Anne Hathaway & Emily Blunt & Stanley Tucci bringing such dynamic characters to compliment the starkness of Miranda Priestly. (Spoilers ahead!)
Having seen this film probably over a dozen times, I always find something new to pick apart or delve into. The filmography of switching locations from the office to fashion week to dark apartments and restaurants to chaotic streets, each setting gave backdrops for poignant symbolism. The usage of light based on the evolution of Andy was tactful. As Andy's wardrobe transformed, she also matured as a career-woman, and perhaps most gratifying was her toned-down from contour but still very lovely outfit which she interviewed in at the end of the film. She allowed her own perspective to be influenced by others, and she was able to pick & choose what will transform her.
No doubt, Miranda created a toxic work environment, but Andy too walked into a job interview entirely unprepared & openly mocked her employer (during the cerulean speech). And despite extremely judgmental friends (she was only supposed to work there a year or so to open huge doors for her career- anyone can suffer a bit imo. She hadn't screwed over her friends; she was less available.), Andy preserved! Though, I do think she should have finished her time at Runaway instead of quitting on the spot.
I saw this ages ago but didn't pay attention, it was funny this time around
hurry up honey new comfort movie just dropped!!!! (todas p)
Rated a Connor 10, normal 9
perfect movie but stupid boyfriend
a classic, meryl is amazing and i love anne hathaway. makes me want to learn about the fashion world
Meryl was great and the work in corporation was presented quite natural. ;)
And suddenly, cerulean blue became my favorite color
This movie is TIMELESS and Meryl was absolutely amazing in this. I don't think anyone could've done Miranda better.
A hugely entertaining movie from beginning to end with brilliant performances by Anne Hathaway and especially Meryl Streep. That‘s all...
Quite good story. Reminds me of old TV show about Ugly Betty
Love the actors, but not a big fan of the film. I just couldn't get in to it.
I adore this film. I've watched it dozens of times and it's still enjoyable
"Everything that is fashion goes out of fashion style ever." Nice Movie!!
