Now that's what i call a shitty sequel.

That was painful to watch. Completely predictable, awful acting, humor that doesn't hit. It was just bad all around. The first one was decent, this was terrible.

Obviously a very versatile actor - just an angry fat kid from New Zealand.
Started off quite slowly but gradually got better. The fat kid is annoying but I suppose he’s supposed to be. An enjoyable family festive film. Not as good as the first in the series but definitely worth a watch to get you in that feel-good Christmassy mood!

Story isn't good,
Part 1 is so much better than this.

While not quite as enjoyable as the first one, The Christmas Chronicles Part Two is worth a watch. As with the Christmas Chronicles, I highly doubt this will be a Christmas staple in this household, but...

I had fun!!!

...and Goldie Hawn as Ms. Claus is a stroke of genius. Just saying...

Going more for spectacle than the magic of Christmas, The Christmas Chronicles: Part Two is a jumbled mess. When an exiled elf uses Kate to infiltrate the North Pole and steals the Christmas Star the future of Christmas is once again put in jeopardy. It starts out well enough with a blended family going through some holiday strife, but then abandons that for a North Pole adventure, and then abandons that for a Santa verses renegade elves war. It’s just all over the place and delves deep into Santa mythology (even introducing time-travel). And Julian Dennison doesn’t have the acting chops to stand toe-to-toe with Kurt Russell; making for a poor arch-villain. The Christmas Chronicles: Part Two has some fun moments, but it isn’t nearly as entertaining and magical as the first.

I had big hopes after the first movie but this... The worst sequel ever!

Having lines like “it should be called Mr.s Claus’ village.” Just feels cliche at this point. In this day and age. I find lines like that cringe worthy, sorry.
Otherwise this is a fun movie and possibly better than the first. Despite some predictability.

Film 32 (Goal: 300) of 2024

Damn, did this suck. I can't believe what a big slip this was after the surprisingly great first film. Admittedly I don't remember that film very well, but this is so heavy on CGI - it's eye rolling inducing. Julian Dennison is a one trick pony and is terrible miscast in this role. Nothing in this film works. What a misstep this was.

Not as good as the first but still light-hearted and fun, didn't realise Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn were a couple - guess I live under a rock

The Christmas Chronicles: Part Two is a solid sequel to a new Christmas classic. The movie continues the story of Kate and her family, as they find themselves in a new adventure with Santa Claus. The plot is well-structured, with plenty of action, humor, and heartwarming moments that capture the holiday spirit. The actors all deliver excellent performances, with Kurt Russell once again bringing his unique take on Santa Claus. The film also introduces new characters that add to the story and the overall experience.

As much as The Christmas Chronicles is for kids who were good, The Christmas Chronicles 2 is punishment for the ones who were naughty.

A minor story poorly told by an uneven cast (and some are very uneven), The Christmas Chronicles 2 is a mall Santa running of with the money he's pilfered from true believers. Out of a possible 10, I have 4 Fs to give.

I don't get why people disappointed with this movie,i just watched with my daughter and we enjoyed it,we all know it's a Christmas kid movie so why the complaint

A disappointment, all in all.

I very much enjoyed the first film, but 'The Christmas Chronicles: Part Two' is a much weaker entry. Kurt Russell, though still enjoyable, isn't as entertaining as in the 2018 film. It is nice to see him reprise his role though, likewise with Darby Camp, Kimberly Williams-Paisley and Judah Lewis.

New additions include Tyrese Gibson, Jahzir Bruno and Julian Dennison. I'm a fan of Tyrese from the 'Fast & Furious' franchise, but he is underused here; when he does feature, he's quite laidback. Bruno is alright, while Dennison is hit-and-miss; he has one or two good moments. Goldie Hawn, meanwhile, has an expanded role.

The elves are as great as before, as are the special effects in general. I'd say they are probably more creative with this premise than they were with the 2018 production, but ultimately it doesn't come out as strongly - this one doesn't feel as Christmassy as its predessceor. Also, the musical number is a misfire.

Close to being a good film, but just a little off unfortunately.

Nowhere near as good as the first one but it was adorable and a great Christmas movie just the same.

With how good the first film was, this was really a let down, but still watchable STRICTLY for Kurt Russell's interpretation of the part. This does, however, point again to my belief that a villain can ruin a film or make it. "Belsnickel" was one of the least interesting or likeable characters I have ever encountered and was unredeemable. Now, think how much better this could have been had they put Joe Pesci in the role...

Noooo not Cornish pixie dandruff! Also LOL @ It's a Wonderful Life dubbed in Elvish.

A mix of Santa Claus The Movie and Gremlins, and it’s a pretty enjoyable watch. I have been assured that no elves were harmed during the making of this movie, however one gingerbread man may have been badly hurt.

It picks up after the first few minutes. Not as good as the first, but nowhere near as bad as some sequels. Perfectly fine for a Turkey-coma with family.
