Okay, give me a minute. This is a pretentious "erotic drama." I take it the director thought he was making high art here, but this is just boring, and so disjointed that in several places I was left asking, "wait, what? Why?!" Where to even begin with this? Cyril, and Fiona are living in South America - I think, it's never actually said. A whole lot of nothing happens. One day they meet Hugh, and Catherine, then in the next scene they are at Cyril, and Fiona's home. Why? There's no conversation. We don't know anything about any of these people. Listen, the bulk of the story is about Cyril, and Fiona trying to get Hugh, and Catherine to be part their "open marriage." I'll not spoil the order of operation. I realize this was based off a book, but there were too many parts that didn't add up. E.g., what was with Meredith's nosebleed or the tension between she, and Cyril? Another big issue was the time jumps. With such a small cast, and mostly one location, if you just cut to a different time, it's hard to follow what is happening. Utterly terrible. I felt gross, bored, and annoyed the entire runtime. I hated all of the characters. The only highlights were two bunnies, and Sheryl Lee. Sheryl was gorgeous, and nude in a few scenes, but not enough. I can't recommend this to anyone. Just pure garbage. If more blanks were filled in, I could see liking it, but this just does nothing and goes nowhere.
