Stunning, beautiful musical--almost up there with Singin' in the Rain for me. Has some of the same insider humor throughout (this time, about theater rather than the movies) along with some truly wonderful numbers ("Dancing in the Dark", especially, but also the closing "Girl Hunt Ballet." There's also the terrifying "Triplets" number, but the less said about that, the better.) Cyd Charisse is absolutely electric, and Oscar Levant is just one of those guys I always love to see.
