Texas Chainsaw 3D 2013

Has very attractive women in it. Not much else worth noting.

Arguably no better or worse than most of the sequels.

The kills are alright, the gore is decent, the cast has some attractive women but overall the story tying it all together is badly written. Not the worst, but also not the best.

I’d heard that this is the worst one, so I went in with very low expectations. I'm struggling to understand how this has a low average score in here. "Do your thing cuz!" is probably the worst line of dialogue uttered in the history of film but despite that I like this film so much. It's super campy, thrilling, and hilarious! Probably the most fun I had watching a Leatherface film. I thought I was going to be disappointed, but I wasn’t. This is a direct sequel to the 1974 film. The ridiculously confusing timeline is always the main problem of this franchise, but I feel like it actually makes more sense as a sequel than TCM2. It also understands what the people want, adding another dimension to the storyline, offering some really solid kills and buckets of gore. You can tell people who made this genuinely care and enjoy making it. Leatherface in this film is really great and Daddario makes a great scream queen.

showed up for Alexandra Daddario and stayed for Alexandra Daddario, because this movie was not good.

I'd call it: "How NOT to make a horror movie". This is so bad....!

As a standalone, it's not the worst. What it does as a sequel though is change the way we are supposed to look at leatherface and I think that is my biggest issue. This does not feel like it is part of the original universe at all.

This is an oddity, but an enjoyable oddity.

This film asks that you to accept a few farfetched ideas and to question what you know about Leatherface and what you think happened immediately after the first film ended.

Nevertheless, there is a lot to enjoy here. Especially if you consider this to be an alternative reality, instead of a direct sequel.

Sharpen your chainsaws, cause it’s time for another massacre in Texas Chainsaw 3D. This pseudo-reboot picks up where the original ended, as a lynch mob comes for Leatherface and the Sawyer clan, and burns them alive in their home; however a child survives and returns years later (along with some friends) when her grandmother leaves her an estate, but she finds that she’s inherited more than she’d expected. Alexandra Daddario leads the cast and does a fair job as a scream queen. But there are a lot of script problems, and the film doesn’t do anything new or interesting with Leatherface. Texas Chainsaw 3D has a few thrills and scares, but it’s too formulaic and lazy to really deliver that much terror.

Good intentions ultimately squandered by a really terrible script. The opening five minutes should've been the entire film. So much effort was put into replicating the house from the original film, and it only lasts on screen for a few minutes. No amount of homages can save this really cliched horror story.

Some cheesy moments "Do your thing cuz" and the special effects weren't good but overall it was decent. Plus Alexandra Daddario makes it easy on the eyes.
