Best event ever, it teleported me straight to LA. 10 out of 10.
I would prefer watch a black and white russian movie with 7 hours than watching this piece of garbage again
I am absolutely flabbergasted. She is a QUEEN. This was awe-&-some!!!
THE BASS WAS SO GOOD THO
My girlfriend's a Taylor fan, she enjoyed this a little more than me. For a little bit of background: I've never been that into her music until she released the Folkmore and Evermore records during quarantine. Since then I've gone back into her catalogue and found some other material I liked. The problem for me is that growing up I found a lot of her bigger radio singles excruciatingly bland or even annoying, an opinion that hasn't changed all that much over the years. Obviously she can't omit those songs during a concert like this, so the quality here ranges from excellent to Look What You Made Me Do. I'd say I enjoyed about 1/3rd of the songs, with the segments from the aforementioned albums easily being the strongest. It's also the only parts where I found the staging and visuals artistically compelling, because despite having seemingly unlimited resources at her disposal, I found the other choices of decor too bland. She often relies on what I assume are recreations of her most famous music videos, which doesn't quite speak to the imagination. Unfortunately that means I got bored through a lot of the more mediocre songs, even despite the genuine joy and relatability Swift has a performer. Technically, I have no complaints. The cinematography and editing are great (despite some occasional reaction shots from the audience, which always tends to feel phony to me) and the sound mix is very well balanced. Still, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone besides the hardcore Swifties, because a casual listener is unlikely to find a newfound appreciation of her music here.
4.5/10
For Swifties who haven't been able to attend the Eras tour,
GUYS!!!!!! This is a must-see in the theater. We didn't sit still the whole time, it was just amazing. Taylor Rocks.
Rating this a 10 because, honestly, how could I not. This woman performed a three hour show of some of her greatest hits without even a hint of exhaustion or lethargy. The choreography was on point, the singing was crystal clear, and the costumes were simply enchanting. If I had one criticism it would be that the film didn't contain many of the big transitions from the show. (I'm thinking of the folklore monologue), as some of these helped to add to the ambience of the show, it was still amazing though.
Overrated. Like who chose the songs? Some of the new albums' best songs are not in it. Like what about Exile. Personally, i would be praising this if it had exile.
really enjoyed the concert movie. the music atmosphere was incredible with the cinema sound. as if you would watch the concert irl (especially if you can't go to one of her concerts). very cool show setups and I looooove Taylor's different outfits very much. would watch again :purple_heart:
I'm not a swiftie but this was an impressive show. I only really knew about 1/4 of the songs but those all hit. The rest were pretty good. All the dancing and costumes were fun and bright. I don't think I'll ever watch the whole thing again but I probably will rewatch the Red and 1989 parts.
Only thing that could have made it better would be if it was in 3D. Some of the cool moments I remember from the concert didn't quite stand out as well without a better sense of perspective. But it was a really fun time. A crowd full of swifties, singing along (at a respectable volume) and dancing in their seats as to not block anybody's view. Got the special popcorn bucket and drink cup too. I honestly don't know how Taylor managed to do a 3.5 hour concert while keeping her energy up and not losing her voice. She is at full power the entire time and is an incredible performer.
Actually surprised this got a PG-13 rating as she says the f word 4x
I love Taylor so much. Wish I could see this in person.
Remove this garbage from my faves. Not a fan of this demon boy in the slightest
This concert was an amazing experienced and i loved every second of it. The only reason this is down half a star is cause of the songs that got cut and how they got just placed at the end rather than where they belonged.
Full disclosure: I am a Swiftie. One who didn’t want to spend all that money to be around all those screaming people in the stadiums (or the movie theater, to be honest), and didn’t watch the internet videos that people posted - so I’m only just now watching it on the comfort of my own couch.
This was better than I could have imagined. Yes, I loved the music but it was way more than that.
The sets - holy moly. In-freakin-credible. Whoever designed them is a genius. More than a show, this was an experience for sure.
Her back up dancer Kameron steals the show. I don’t even need to tell you who he is, you’ll know. He’s perfection in human form and he deserves all the success.
And finally - 3.5 hours?!?! But… how?!!! She did this every weekend!! I got tired just watching this.
Got so much power watching this on a big screen, yes I had tears
Taylor who, ,,thought it was supposedto be a orn.....
Amazing
The scope, the spectacle and the frantic Swifties screaming at the top of their lungs is all there. The Eras Tour is a musical experience and a journey that only suffers from cutting up numbers that were essencial part of the show itself. Anyways, seeing this spectacle on an IMAX screen was BRUTAL in every way and immersive at every aspect. Bravo, Miss Swift. BRAVO.
Closest I'll get to the show unless Tay realizes South Africa exists, but was a lot of fun and totally worth it.
