Wealthy and successful middle-aged businessman Leo Burns (Hector Elizondo) suspects that his much younger wife Bridget (Patsy Kensit) is having an extramarital affair. Leo hires sleazy private investigator G.G. Devoe (Sam Waterston) to find out the identity of Bridget's lover.
