This was a good watch with some incredible acting from all fronts. I didn't like how it jumped time a bit near the beginning of the film but it improved as it went on.

I agree it was a little bit slow, but a fantastic twist towards the end that I wasn't expecting. Well worth a watch. :thumbsup_tone1: :thumbsup_tone1:

Taking justice on your own is the thing. As in many others, the recipe is made up of action mixed with social criticism (titles like 'An exemplary citizen' or 'John Q'). But here we have an ingredient that spoils everything: incongruities in various doses that are filling until the unbearable in their last piece. And it's a shame because the rest is not bad, it has a good rhythm and it works as a simple action movie. It is not bad but requires an open mind.

I liked it, a good movie. It had a good plot twist, great photography, cool plot. It was a well-executed idea. It didn't have the ending I wanted, but it was worth it. I recommend!!

For the most part, this movie is pretty predictable. The dialogue is ok. The action scenes are pretty well done. What ranks this higher for me is the neat little plot twist and the wonderful shots of Pittsburgh.

This is basically a run-of-the-mill revenge thriller. Although, I do have to say it did have a big surprise that I was not expecting which ultimately made the movie more interesting to me.

isabela merced's performance totally makes this worth watching. it's a pretty mediocre thriller otherwise but Damn

I might have enjoyed this film a bit more if the "twist" hadn't been so blatantly obvious. It was immediately apparent from the very first start and the movie dragged from the process of continuously thinking it was fooling you.

watchable but not memorable, nothing special here

It's a good movie, nothing fancy. It gets a little slow at times, but overall watchable. The really good thing to highlight is the twist on the last act; which wasn't spected at all. The film was put together in a way that doesn't give you any clue until that point. The twist itself is one of the best i've seen in the last couple of years; and that includes movie where you are actually searching and waiting for a twist. Momoa's acting it's pretty decent, same as Merced's. A good 7 over 10

Film 22 of 2024:

I really enjoyed Sweet Girl. Marketed as a Taken-lite, I can see why they went for that comparison but I don't think it's a fair comparison. Momoa is getting to do something more focused than the wild and loose roles he's had recently with Aquaman and Fast X. There's a plot development late into the film that I think will be quite divisive and may impact your enjoyment of the film. I decided to just go with it but you do have to turn your brain off.

Amazing movie. Yeah it is a little slow BUT watch it to the end. You will be amazed.

Some good action / fight scenes but still not put together too well.

The plot saved this movie, it's inevitable. The movie was running to be another boring action, but with the plot it's a good movie.

Somewhat boring movie with one cool twist that is only surprising because the rest of the movie looked uninspired.

Can't decide which is the worst movie I've seen this year; This one or Thunder force. Netflix sure knows how to pick them.

Jason Momoa alone got me through this, but man that twist ending ruined what was already an uneven movie. It only made sense afterwards when I found out that one of the writers wrote 'The Book of Henry', a movie that got crazy as it went along.

I wish it had focused more on exposing Big Pharma and corrupt politicians, as well as the emotional elements of the story because the action scenes were just NOT compelling and took up most of the runtime.The first 15-20 were really good because it leaned more heavily on those elements and then it just dragged on from there. This would've functioned better if it had stayed more purely in the 'unraveling a (true! this stuff really happens!) conspiracy while on the run' genre. The twist at the end did surprise me but only because by that point I was barely paying attention. Still gave it a 6/10 because the beginning showed a lot of promise and the two leads acted their butts off. Momoa had me sobbing when his character's wife died. Damn big guy, why you gotta make me cry! :'(

I thought it was a good movie. Good amount of action and storyline. Nice twist towards the end too. I didn't like when the dad threatened the guys life on live tv. That was a bit too much even with the emotional state he was in. Some improvements on the script could have been made, but all in all not a bad movie.

Netflix produced movies…still horribly mediocre.

Not good. An uncomfortable mix of issue drama and revenge flick with a late twist that did nothing to save it.
