I confess I didn't get all the way through this, even though it is only an hour long. I love Rohmer (at least I remember loving others of his films) but as with La Boulangère de Monceau which preceded it, I found the male characters' misogyny profoundly unappealing, and the passivity of Suzanne in the face of their mistreatment baffling. I suggest starting your "six moral tales" experience with number four (I suspect I would dislike #3 La Collectionneuse for similar reasons)...
