Studio 666 2022

It's a B-Movie that knows its a B-Movie and is in on it through and through. If you're watching this movie for the campy atmosphere and corny jokes on top of the blood and guts, then you're in good company.

Do you consider yourself a fan of The Foo Fighters?
With several blood-spattered, terrific scenes, I would consider this film in the horror genere, even though the movie at times feels like a rockumentary. Great soundtrack! Do yourself a favor and watch this film!

I had a blast watching this. Not surprised since horror comedy is my favorite subgenre and I love rock music. It's exactly what you expect it to be and doesn't disappoint. Maybe too derivative and can get corny as hell but who cares if it's fun. Even though the comedy doesn't always work, the gnarly kills and gore make up for it. The practical effects in this are top notch and I really appreciate all the effort put into it. The cast definitely have fun with it and it shows. The band members may not be good actors but they sure know how to entertain.

I liked it. Dave definitely carried the entire movie. The ending was meh. RIP Taylor.

i love the Foo Fighters but as a movie this is just really bad and forgettable. Time wasted

You can never have to much Ranch.

Self-aware B-movie that stars Foo Fighters. Doesn't get much better than that.

R.I.P Taylor Hawkins, you wll be missed.

Not as awful as I was expecting. There was some really funny moments. But the third act is a mess. It's the kind of horror comedy that's better enjoyed in a theater with a crowd than at home alone.

Just last week I watched the music video, "Play," which shows two stories: a music school and it's twenty year history of teaching kids how to play and form bands, and Dave Grohl's challenges as a life-long musician to keep himself developing his craft -- and what it was like to record a twenty minute track in which he plays all the parts...and, how he often had to stop and start over each instruments' part of the recording whenever he thought he could do better, Here's a link to that: https://youtu.be/e05H80-k0mY

This is a good slasher film that doesn't follow any of the rules; that is to say it's not a universe where everyone gets what they deserve. But, loads of laughs, or giggles, and good gory gallons of blood...and, interestingly, a long music track that the band members think'll never end (haha).

I’ve never watched a film at the cinema that looked like it was just a joke. This looks terrible, I can’t wait. I love the foo fighters and had no idea this existed before it’s trailer popped up at the cinema. Wow.

If you are a fan of the band and watch to watch the group show off their lack of acting skills while just having some fun, well this is the movie for you! Special effects are good, unfortunately the gore and kills is very limited.

The foofighters need to stick to what they're good at and that's not acting, it was nice to see them in a film tho and it had some funny moments, but the movie was a big cheese fest and very cheap with a lot of bad acting, It was probably done for laugh anyways. Don't worry guys, I still love you. RIP Taylor Hawkins AKA drumer.

The Foo Fighters star as themselves in the dark horror comedy Studio 666. When the Foo Fighters rent a mansion with a storied history to record a new album, lead singer Dave Grohl gets possessed by an evil spirit and begins killing the other band members. The acting, as one would suspect, is terrible, and the plot (what little there is) is formulaic tripe. And, the over-the-top violence and gore comes off more as exploitative than comedic. There are a couple of entertaining kills and some funny moments, but overall Studio 666 is a poorly made film that doesn’t work.

I really enjoyed it. This is one of those movies that you can’t give a mediocre rating because it was a B movie. Be a B movie was the entire joke of the movie. This is definitely a must see for any fan of comedy horror.

Hilarious, gory and ridiculous. It's a fun splatterfest that keeps you laughing along the way with fun cameos and juvenile humor. If you like Foo fighters, or just horror comedies this might be right up your alley.

This was totally my cup of tea! Cheesy B movie with some awesome practical effects. If you're into that sort of thing, you should check this one out.

This is one for fans of the Foo Fighters and 80s-style gore. As I'm not a big fan of either, this didn't do much for me.

The Foo Fighters have made millions of people happy over the years. If making this movie as a band gave them a little happiness, who are we to judge?

Pearl Jam high five up top! :raised_hand_tone2::raised_hand_tone2::raised_hand_tone2::raised_hand_tone2::raised_hand_tone2:

Silly, fun, gory and highly enjoyable. And I don't even LIKE the Foo Fighters! However, it is bittersweet to watch following the passing of Taylor Hawkins. The foreknowledge puts a bit of a shadow over the film.

Dave Grohl does a surprisingly good acting job considering he's not even an actor. The others are... passable. Which is to say, they are just good enough to play themselves. Whitney Cummings, Leslie Grossman, and even Jenna Ortega do a good job at rounding out the cast as periphery weirdos.

On a side note to anyone thinking about buying the Blu-ray in the hopes of getting some gnarly special features - don't even bother. All it has is a gag reel.

"Your my favourite band after coldplay"

Rest in peace Taylor Hawkins

Studio 666 is nothing out of this world and I can understand some of the hate it gets but I enjoyed it on this Saturday morning. The practical effects are great, I loved the freaking Lionel Richie cameo and yes I love singing along with the song you love to sing Mr. Richie! All the tributes to classic horror movies are great and the horrible acting just gave it that old-school horror vibe.

Anyway I enjoyed it for what it was but it could've been about 20 minutes shorter. So if you like great practical effects and tribute to old horror movies, Studio 666 might be for you.
