It was good , script a little bit dramatic but is classic Almodóvar, I really wish it was a full length movie, it can definitely be a very entertaining movie. Pedro and Ethan are perfect. I was not expecting much and it surprised me. Can’t wait to watch this again in mubi.
Strange Way of Life is proof that even clearly incredibly talented and accomplished actors can be set up for failure under the right (wrong) circumstances. There was more feeling in the single 1 minute of the youngster versions of Jake and Silva together than Hawke and Pascal managed for the rest of it, and I just can’t help but feel like that isn’t their fault. You can’t force chemistry.
This short film felt like an afterthought, as if no love and care went into making it at all, which sucks because the concept itself has so much potential.
I saw Almodóvar on every scene and dialogue, I like it, maybe 40 minutes would be better to develop the story, because it feels a little faster.
Italians made spaghetti westerns, now Almodovar made a salsa western.
the acting is bad and they got 0 chemistry, they weren't even trying... the story itself could be better, maybe if the movie was longer
