Oh my gosh. I can't even describe what I've just watched. It's some sort of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas or Easy Rider in space. Craziness turned to eleven though. The style and aesthetics is perhaps only rivaled by 90's European techno music videos like Marusha's Somewhere over the Rainbow. Look at the bottom of my comment. I'll let the director explain it in his own words ;-) But I can confidently say: it's one of the greatest (unauthorized) Star Trek episodes you'll ever see. It's a homage to TNG and a testament to the shows arguably insane moments. Thanks to Yew Zyr. He's probably a genius (or bonkers). Could go both ways... Thanks YouTube for not taking this down --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZlRt05RY9Y. I don't do drugs, but perhaps I should ...
The Still D.R.E. (cf. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_CL6n0FJZpk) and Gettin' Jiggy with it (cf. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JcmQONgXJM) part convinced me that this could also be one of the greatest music videos of all time. It's full of great music. The opening scene with the title song is great. I immediately listened to Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon afterwards.
Best quote (and that's only the beginning of one of the greatest dadaistic dialogues ever):
Alien: "What's your purpose?" Riker: "Your mother!"
Still waiting for part II featuring Quark ....
Btw, here's how the director describes his masterpiece:
