Wonderful camera work, superb sound design, solid music (shout out to Academy Award laureate Bertelmann). Bjärne Mädel and Matthias Brandt (who more and more resembles his famous father) are incredibly good actors - Mädel apparently is a decent director, too. Interesting depiction of an anxiety disorder. Funny too - if you like this North German kind of subtle humor. Parallels to Friesland, Mord mit Aussicht and Nord bei Nordwest are apparent though: sleepy towns, rural landscapes, a sleepy police precinct, strange and weird townsmen, police officers that are bored or are just a tat strange themselves and an unexpected crime that was supposed to happen only in big cities. The funny bits makes the otherwise dark plot more palpable. And dark it is.

Seems like the first episode of a mini series - let's see.

There's also a corresponding radio play which used to be available in the ARD audiothek.
