Shrek Forever After 2010

Don't understand the negativity. Each and every Shrek is outstanding, including this one. Do the Roar, lol

Really good ending to an awesome series of movies.

Much darker in tone than the previous Shrek films, this one is clearly challenging Frank Capra's Christmas classic It's a Wonderful Life as it sees Shrek looking at a world where he had never been born. As with Capra's film, it sees protagonist yearning for everything he left behind, a life which was previously leading to a sense of ennui and a very, very short fuse.

The tonal shift is welcome following the third instalment in the Shrek series this one seems more introspective and soulful than the films which succeeded because they were comedic riffs on traditional fairy tales and movie tropes.

The tone is reflected in the aesthetics, so the film is visually darker, but still has superb animation and, again, a brilliant cast to lend their characters their vocal talents to great effect.

Very funny and WAY better than "Shrek 3", even though the "Be Careful What You Are Wishing For"-theme is a little washed out...

Watched again 13 years after the premiere and it's not bad. At times, the graphics are a bit off-putting with their bad shapes.

What a funny movie, it gives me again the felling of the first one. Dunkey facinate me again with his "dunkey being" and The Cat on his chubby version Lol, an applause for the one who add this to the script.

On this version we can see our previous empowered Fiona, save her self and i like a lot this plot, gives to the character a big value and let us see that warriosr side, that was fade showed on the first movie, with the iconic scene making a parady to Matrix.

What a sweet felling that always provides me Shrek, this heroe that always have faults, but alsoalways learn, and save the day. I love it. my only problem is how was the solution to fast the third act is very simple, even when is enterteining, but too short.

This is the real Shrek 3

A big improvement over the 3rd film. Though there is nothing original about the plot. With Shrek learning to appreciate the life he has. It’s a Wonderful Life, but with Shrek.

After watching Schafrillas Productions video on this film I was convinced to give this movie a second chance, and let's just say it's way better than people seem to think it is. This movie, unlike the third, has real heart and soul, a message it wants to get across and it does so brilliantly. The villain was fun, the alternate universe was cliche but intentionally so, and Shrek gets his most interesting character arc since the second film. I unironically consider this movie incredible and comparable to other Dreamworks classics like How to Train Your Dragon and Kung Fu Panda.

The worst Shrek movie but still there are some fun moments.

Shrek learns the value of middle-class hetero-normativity. Meh.
