Dialogue is poor... the acting, meh and the storyline looks very predictable, so I switched off after 18 minutes of semi-boredom.
On a positive note: Lilly Krug is gorgeous
3/10
I discovered this movie from a YouTube short the beginning of the movie was a little bit romantic and a nice encounter
Little that you know I start fast forwarding the movie over and over because it was boring and the story was all over the place, The acting was crap
Lily krug is a pretty actress not going to lie I think that's the only motivation that kept me finishing the movie lmao
Seen it in a sneak-preview in a cinema here in Germany. The story is not really new. But the actors have not been very good in this film. Not really poor but no „must have seen“ film.
I'm current;y suffering from a very sore neck. It's agonising but not as agonising as this predictable and poorly scripted effort.

Oof... where to begin. I wanted to watch because I am a sucker for the 'stalker' genre and I saw Cameron Monaghan has a leading role. I loved him in Gotham so I hoped he'd be given a new opportunity to showcase his talents... a nice 'could have'. So because I saw him as Jerome (the Joker) in Gotham I initially believed he'd be the stalker, the villain of this movie but as soon as Sky and Chris meet in the supermarket I knew this wouldn't be another crazy character for him. Sky had the psycho eyes right of the bat so I said out loud to my husband 'I wonder if she is the villain?' and she was.
This movie lacked intensity. I've seen a bunch of movies in this specific genre and while lots are considered B-movies I would rate this far far below that. Characters where predictable and flat. The motive is mediocre, overdone and if they where to go with an obvious plot I'd preferred the actual stalker- crush arc. (sidenote: the movie aired under the name 'Crush' in The Netherlands so I expected it to be going in that direction somehow).
Sky is obviously insane. They gave us just enough backstory to understand how she came to be and then in the end try to switch it up by making us believe she 'felt' something for Chris. Very out of character considering the amounts of torture she put him through. And about that torture... I feel like the makers of this movie decided to throw in some gore just for the sake of it. There was no need to show Lisa in that tub naked and bloody... Plus the intense overkill on Ronald, we get it... the girl is crazy. So again the end was very out of character!
I'm just very disappointed in this movie. I knew fairly early on that I was going to be disappointed but I hoped that maybe it would lead somewhere... it didn't. Don't waste your time unless you feel like punishing yourself.
One last thing, where did they find Lilly Krug? If they cast Sky differently maybe - just maybe - this could've been a tad bit better.
