Angry narcissist wins dubious morality contest. Trash.
I'm only part way through this movie but the main character is absolutely insufferable so far. A douche to everyone just trying to help her, a thief and completely bitter. I hope the story at least makes this worth the investment because all I want right now is for Sophie to have a minor stairs related accident.
Writing was weak, I didn't mind that the main character was a bitch and a thief, but the whole thing was a bit too much. Lazy in parts and bad writing in others. There were some scenes I enjoyed however. 5.3 for me.
I absolutely don't get it. For these kinds of movie to work, you got to have someone you can root for to thwart the evil. You have created a lead so devoid of empathy that I just didn't care. To the antithesis, you have made her so unlikeable who steals and treats everyone so badly around her; her family, friends, even strangers that at some points I was rooting against her. I am not suggesting to have a goodie two-shoes protagonist, you can have a flawed protagonist, just give her layers to make her empathetic. And no making her blind doesn't automatically make her empathetic. And the outlandish third act which throws any sense of logic out of the window is just hilarious to sit through.
Move along, there's nothing to see here. Predictable home invasion thriller that has little to recommend it.
A serviceable home invasion thriller. It basically follows the same beats as most films in this sub-genre. Doesn't break any new ground and doesn't always hold up logic-wise but it's stylistically interesting and there's some mild thrills and chuckles to be had. Incorporating disability and use of technology into this are enough to sustain my attention.
Well not a bad start to 2022. Not a great movie by any stretch, but one will watch to see how the story ends. There are some sketchy scenes, but all in all not a disappointing move. Bored nothing to watch? Must watch.
Main character is insufferable. I honestly don't care what's gonna happen. Also, acting blind requires more than staring ahead. If you'd like to watch a movie with a similar premise but one that doesn't suck, watch Hush.
This movie was mediocre at best.
When will the studios finally start casting actors with the disability they portray? Because they do exist.
Like one of the commentors mentioned, its similar to Hush but i do prefer Hush more. The fact that you can see but can't call for help feels more helpless than being unable to see but able to speak (and act like a b*) LOL The actress did a good job in portraying the character for sure, her character has an ego that's way too big for her head despite her disability (Although i do understand some people with disabilities doesn't like it when people help them out because it makes them feel inferior and that they are being pitied on.) But, it seems like the character pushes it a lil too far that she's just a b* to everyone she talks to AND even when shes's the one askin for a favor. I HATE people like that LOL which is why she gets on my nerves really bad. Not only that, she's blind AND cunning AND obviously abuses people's empathy for her to her advantage. Overall, it's a good one time watch but her character is kinda annoying part of me wishes she didn't make it to the end. XD If you enjoyed this, i would highly recommend Hush.

Similar to Hush (2016) but with a little twist. Fun thriller and I like the main character the actress did a good job.
