It is a very funny film. The situations are completely unlikely, but I laughed a lot.
funny, entertaining and well paced. Good jokes and pretty solid direction, with awesome characters :)
Attempts at sentimentality don't work, but when the film gets down to fighting the zombies these scouts live up to their motto by being prepared. Feels like an 80's movie and if released then may have been a classic. As it is, in a time saturated by zombies on film and tv, it has less impact than it could have.
90 minutes horror comedy about my fantasy. to be a scout fight zombies and hang out with strippers
I liked how it kept a smile on my face for almost beginning of the movie to the end. Although all of the actors are young and pretty anonymous, they did a fairly good job! If you like horror/comedy/zombie movies, this one is recommended!
I really liked this film. The trampoline scene particularly made me laugh out loud.
Easy film to watch and just enjoy.
This movie is not bad, but I have to admit my favorite scene was when ben was holding on to the old mans balls! #ShiftvW8
A reasonable film, with some funny moments, but which follows a typical zombie film formula, exploring the fight for survival with a touch of comedy.
Cloris Leachman as a zombie? Count me in. I thought this movie was quite entertaining and a lot of fun.
This was a nice movie! I was expecting a funny comedy, with some trash moments. And I was not disappointed.
Good cast too.
I recommend it!
Entirely watchable zombie comedy flick that doesn't bring anything new. The story is predictable but it still offers tons of fun. This film lacks strong writing that could separate itself from the bunch but still entertaining and help to pass the time. The opening scene is hilarious! Black Widow was my jam back then. Practical effects are solid, the action sequences are great, the acting is pretty decent, and most of the jokes land. Most of the characters are likable. I wish this kinda thing happened when I was in boy scouts.
Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse the title should tell you all you need to know about this film. It sounds fairly cheesy and being frank if you are above a certain age terrible. The good news is this little zombie, comedy, gore-fest is much, much, greater than the sum of its parts.
The plot is simple, zombies, and scouts, the skills they learned could save the day, will they? See if you can guess. You can fail in this type of film there but the director and one of the team of writers, Christopher Landon, his dad was Michael Landon, gave it one thing that lacks in so many efforts, heart. The gore is there for horror fans, the comedy is not subtle, but neither should it be and more importantly every main character is likable in their own way.
I was particularly impressed that the stripper – sorry as she says night club hostess – is as capable as the boys and, in the context of the film, a nice person. Good one writers, good one.
The story is nothing original at all – nice lads really into something that is really uncool so they cannot get any girls [check], fancying the lovely impossible girl who has an arsehole boyfriend [check], having a best friend who tries hard to be cool but is not and does not realise it [check] - see if you can guess what happens by the end of the story.
The path maybe familiar, the story well-worn and well-used, but this is played most definitely for laughs and is, at its heart a very kind-hearted story. The deaths and attacks of zombies are both gruesome, and in one trampolining incident, hilariously gruesome. Beware though if you are at all prudish there is some boobage and willy action.
All the actors, relatively unknown, and better known, David Koechner and Cloris Leachman, both give good and funny accounts of themselves, and it is clear everyone bought into the story and filming. The chemistry is there for you to see. The soundtrack is good and fist the action throughout, no clashing here and the special effects, over-the-top, gruesome, and funny fit the style and feel of the film perfectly. It is great.
If nothing else Scouts Guide to the Apocalypse is fun evening’s entertainment that should appeal to horror or comedy fans alike and as long as you are not looking for something completely original or subtle you should come away entertained at least.
Anyone ever wonder what a cult film is. This is surely one in the making here. I liked it, I cannot guarantee you will, but if you watch it remember what the title of the film is, this should be your guide – or scout even.
There are so many bad zombie comedies out there and this one gets swept up in them. It's a shame because the jokes in this film are actually laugh-out-loud funny - my favourites being a toothless zombie granny who can't inflict any damage - and her army of zombie cats (who can!)
Tiene escenas gore bien logradas, pero los estereotipos abundan. Al menos es medianamente divertida.
Kann man sehen muss man aber nicht. Gut aufgelegtes Enaemble.
plz don't watch it's drain your feel of zombie
Pretty average zombie comedy. Predictable but not terrible.
Kept its promise of bring watchable and even entertaining much of the time. Scouts honour.
It's nice to see these boy scouts fighting the zombies.
Fast running and intelligent zombies?!? This movie is really bad...
gotta hand it to it, it proved me wrong.i enjoyed this movie!
Personally liked the movie just wondering...how are we gonna forget the fact that Carter got bit on the Ass and didn't turn zombie at any point Seems Weird #ShiftvW8
hardly any zombie fighting, mostly crass and sexual humor, save your time and don't watch it.
A typical zombie movie where every teenager wants to get laid and exploiting big breasted women where they can. With that being said the production value is darn good!!
A lot of fun.
The gag in trampoline scene is hands down the funniest of it's kind ever.
I think this and Cooties takes the bet for worst film in 2015
Not bad and kinda funny :)

Definitely worth watching!
If you like zombies a lot and got a good sense of humor, it's the movie you want to watch.
Yes the story is kind of usual and nothing new in particular, but that's not what the movie wants to be good at. It's the screening, saying and the humor what makes it a brilliant movie.
It's probably kind of specific whether you like it or not (in terms of the type of humor), but if you do so you will enjoy the movie a lot!
If you want a comparison I daresay it's most likely similar to Shaun of the dead
