A cartoon I watched in my childhood, loved it, definetely an 8/10 movie.
The most beautiful and visually stunning animation you will ever see.
I loved it omg
Why didn't Pitch just make an army with the unseen ones like Jack Frost from the start? Like he could have used all their frustration against the guardians before they got to them idk.
One of the best - if not THE BEST - animated movie I have seen.
Nice story.
Good characters.
And beautiful 3D effects.
No nasty music dance up comedy like in Shrek and so on.
Love.
Incredible! I sat with a lump in my throat through most of the movie, a few tears came too. It's amazing how animation can make you feel this way. I had no expectations going into the movie other then seeing the cover. Being completely blown away by the end is an understatement, there isn't a dull moment at all.
The perfect animation movie? This might just be it. Dreamworks is undoubtedly at the level of Pixar now. :)
This is a rewatch. I remember watching this when I was little but I didn't remember anything. Why is it so slow? Kids had attention spans back then? I'm not talking about the story, the movie itself. I put it on 1.5 and you can't even tell. I would put it on 2 but Netflix doesn't let me. One thing I can judge 100% with this mentality is the voice acting because I previously watched it dubbed. Props to Hugh Jackman and Isla Fisher. Alec Baldwin and Jude Law were mediocre. Kinda sad, the villain wasn't so good because of that + the design was lacking. Chris Pine...what the fuck? That was bad casting. Jack looks 16 at most. His voice doesn't fit.
The story was cool, tho.
When around kids, you're made to watch anything kiddish.. well good choice... it grew on me.. lovely plot.. lots of action... funny.. but sorry I still don't believe santa clause, easters bunnies, tooth fairies, and specially not jack frost.. we don't get snow much.. once in a blue moon..
Very nice film. Even though it's made for children there is a lot of action that entertain older kids like me too.
i lveo this movie more than my mother i think
watching again this year. it's kinda Christmassy?
SO CUTE. The characters who don't speak have the most sass!
This movie is incredible! It has humor, action and it's overall cute and very nice animated.
I love this movie, so fun and cute!
Absolutely wonderful! It's great to fall in love with characters all over again but in a whole new retrospect! Love it!
One of the best animated movie I ever watched. Loved every part of it. It is funny, it is sad and in one word it is TotallyNinja(Not one word of-course ;)) !
Epic movie. One of the best recent animations that I've seen. Beautiful animation, soundtrack, characters. Everything works fine. I do recommend it to anyone. It's a great movie!
Awwww it's a lovely film and Jack Frost is quite.... erm... nice ;)
But, that aside it was really nice (even though I looked really awkward in the cinema as I don't have children). Can't wait for the DVD! :D
Not sure how I missed this one back when it came out, as I still had young siblings at the time, but I'm glad I finally got around to it. The story may be well-explored territory, but execution is everything, and the execution here is top notch. An absolutely stacked cast, creative visuals, a nice sprinkling of humor, and a cute emotional core that ties it all together. Watching it for the first time on Thanksgiving felt like a perfect way to bring in the Christmas season and this absolutely deserves a spot in the holiday rotation.
"You're all hard work and deadlines, and I'm all snowballs and fun times."
This is a fun Christmas movie that doesn't get talked about enough! It's so fun seeing different folklore have a crossover event and shoutout to the animation team for the art direction and action.
Any movie where Santa has prison tats... count me in.
8,5/10
H H H H H
i loved this movie when i was a kid, so rewatching was a nice bit of nostalgia
also pitch is hot. fight me.
Haven't watched it in a long time, maybe it's time for a refresh?
7.5/10 - The story's kinda silly/unrealistic but it is also pretty fun and told beautifully. After getting used to it I really enjoyed it. It's a bit like Toy Story but with the Guardians instead of toys. Seeing these childhood stories/characters visualized, animated, and brought to live with their own personalities was both fun and interesting. DreamWorks never fails to amaze :) I really loved the designs and animations of those ficitonal characters.
DreamWorks Animation delivers a magical adventure with the children’s film Rise of the Guardians. The story follows Jack Frost as he’s recruited by the Guardians to stop a ruthless villain who’s seeking to extinguish children’s believe in magic. Featuring the voice talents of Chris Pine, Alec Baldwin, Jude Law, Isla Fisher, and Hugh Jackman, the film has a good cast that’s able to bring the characters to life. And, the animation style and character designs are extraordinarily well-done; creating a colorful and surrealist look. However, the plot is weak and doesn’t really have much substance to it. Also, the film has a rather poor message – that seeing is believing; which is contrary to most children’s stories. Yet despite its problems, Rise of the Guardians has a certain charm and is a lot of fun.
Great story.. Stunning animation.. Lots of feels.. Good family entertainment.
Interesting film adaptation of the book series on which it is based. I recommend a read-and-watch for this. The voice acting talent was amazing, and the film certainly can stand alone, but the books provide so much more context that enriches your watching experience.
Very interesting idea for a movie
Basically a superhero team think Avengers but the team consist of classic children's Fables
it's a very good action movie for being animated with some humor in there here and there
cute and cute, a little predictable but I don't care as long as I can see jack froze beautiful face
Good movie I love when the kids destroy the shadow and his evil plans
Entertaining. Definitely aimed at children, but watchable for everyone else
I took my three nieces to watch this Movie in the cinema, and they LOVED IT.
Edit: But I didn't.

This is a really great film! Such a shame it didn't do too well in cinemas.
