Ricochet 1991

Occasionally silly, like a sword fight in prison out of the blue. Denzel Washington and John Lithgow are excellent though even if the material isn’t.
What does work is that no one believe Denzel that Lithgow’s killer is still alive. Framing Denzel for murders, getting with hookers and heavy drug use.
Ricochet is mostly the kind of movie that feels like it would exist in the Last Action Hero movie universe. It’s a macho cop movie where nothing is realistic and the villain steals the show.

With Russell Mulcahy directing and Steven E De Souza writing you know you're in for a treat. Some of the dialogue is out of this world.

Lithgow plays a perfect psycho pursuing Washington after his initial arrest. That opening scene is not what you'd be expecting and sets the tone for the entire film. Some interesting folks show up as supporting cast throughout the film.

Mary Ellen Trainor played reporter Gail Wallens, a character she also played in Die Hard (1988).

This was an interesting ride and somewhat difficult to source for one reason or another.

Correct thriller and a good performance by Lithgow as a psychopath.

I didn't even notice that was Denzel Washington until the credits lol. I also didn't know he used to curse that bad. Anyway, the movie was alright, just seemed like there was way too much cussing for a plot that wasn't that good.

A very brutal and tense movie where both Washington and Lithgow shines but has unfortunate weak points as annoying plot holes and weak acting for the supporting cast I still recommend a viewing.
