Resident Evil: Extinction 2007

The film is not bad, but there are scenes that do not come to mind. What surprised me the most is that Iron Butterfly's In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida appears.

The best Resident Evil movie in my opinion! Quiet enjoyable, fast-paced and a lot of action. I would recommend this flick although the plot still has not very much depth...

Slighty worse than the first two. I know they intentionally made it a post apocalyptic movie in the style of Mad Max but I think it´s to much of a copycat at times. And I´m not a huge fan of the Hitchcock homage as I would call it. But I like how they develope the plot. Althought not very deep, it´s not meant to, it´s a logigical conclusion of it´s predecessors. Action is good, getting a bit tired of the dogs now for the third time.

Fairly standard Zombie film with some awful acting and a weak plot holding it together. Still fairly entertaining enough though with some good action sequences.

The strongest of the first 3 Resident Evil flicks. There is one minor, extremely distracting aspect to it though: a lot of close-ups feature a heavy skin-smoothening filter applied to Jovovich's face. It completely clashes with the realistic, gritty look of the cinematography and is especially jarring when she is talking to another character in the same shot whose skin has actual detail or when cutting from or to medium and long-shots that DON'T employ the filter. This is what happens when your lead actress is married to the producer of the entire franchise: every vain wish is fulfilled. (No other actor seems to use cosmetic CGI)

An extended reasoning for why you don't need Umbrellas in Vegas.

"Resident Evil: Extinction" is a thrilling, action-packed movie that follows Alice on her quest to save humanity from the T-virus.
It's full of intense moments and epic fight scenes that will keep you on the edge of your seat!

I’m binge watching all 6 Resident Evil movies this weekend, starting with the very first movie in 4K. I think the older movies have held up well over time. Mila is the iconic leading character, obviously. But this one features Ali Larter as well.

It’s been two decades since the first movie came out. I have forgotten the plots for all the sequels, which is a good thing since the sequels do not have elaborate plots. They are very similar to the video games these movies are loosely based on. Achieve a mission, and don’t get bitten by zombies. :thumbsup_tone2:

As with the other Resident Evil films, I'm offering my comments ONLY as a movie-watcher, not as someone who ever played the videogame. I have no idea how this stacks up with the videogame (if at all) but as far as films go, I found this to be one of the better ones of the franchise…at least, so far. In a nutshell, this was basically The Matrix , Mad Max , and Dawn of the Dead all thrown into a blender and the resulting smoothie was this particular film. Loved most of it, some parts were just kind of "meh", but for the most part, this was a decent sci-fi/action/zombie movie.

7/10
Another strong entry and I would say the best so far.
These movies rock and Alice is frickin awesome and I'm loving the hole clone thing going on.
Milla is silky smooth in this role and nobody else could play it and Be so damn sexy and interesting at the same time.
Milla is Alice.
I love how her superpowers are growing and she's starting to understand just how Awesome and special she actually is and I'm absolutely loving being on this wild ride with her.
She's beautiful, interesting, confident and got superpowers and I could watch her kicking all sorts of Evils ass all day long and twice on Sunday's.

I have to say taking out that satellite in space
Well that was just to frickin awesome, she's so fcuking Cool.

The "Get Through" the Resident Evil Series Project of 2021 - # 3 of 6

Resident Evil: Extinction is a better movie than its predecessor, Apocalypse, with a more fleshed out story, better world-building, and more visceral and "real" action. It still lacks a bit of what the first one had in the realm of suspense and horror elements but works better when it comes to progressing the greater story.

There's no doubt that the filmmakers have gotten better at what they do since the first one, but in my opinion, the first one is still the one I would choose for an evening of Resident Evil goodness. Don't get me wrong...I like this one. It certainly works as a part of the franchise.

...and now we got more creepy animals as well.

Starting to gain momentum again. Good to see some characters back.

The zombie apocalypse goes global in Resident Evil: Extinction. The story picks up a few years after the T-Virus was unleashed, and finds Alice and a ragtag group of survivors navigating a post-apocalyptic wasteland ruled by the undead. Milla Jovovich, Oded Fehr, and Ali Larter form a strong cast that’s able to carry the material fairly well. Additionally, the film has a good pace that keeps the action exciting and intense. However, the plot becomes a little unhinged at the end and takes the series in a strange direction. Resident Evil: Extinction is another solid entry into the series, but it’s beginning to get a bit too convoluted.

I liked the change scenery but it still is just some more dumb zombie action. At least it is better than the last one.
