Ridiculous... Entertaining... Delightful... RED is all this!
Funny, intelligent and with nice plot-twists, R.E.D is one of the best action flicks of the last few years in my opinion. An excellent job did the people responsible for the casting: Willis and his friends are on FIRE!
A good script, fast-paced action and a great cast will give you 2 hours of good entertainment. ps. And John Malkovich is the new Dwight Schultz aka "Captain H.M. Murdock" from "A-Team". :)
Roger Ebert had an interesting take on this film. He said that it is neither a good movie nor a bad one. It is a film with a great cast that leaves you wishing for a more interesting story. I usually avoid these kinds of films because they never seem to pay off. The trailer was somewhat amusing so I thought I would let my hair down and give it a try. In the end, it kept my attention and it was fun most of the time so I can't complain. At times it was rather slapstick and at other times there was a decent plot. In a weird kind of way it was like Hudson Hawk met Ocean's Eleven (not that either of those films set the world on fire). This was much more fun than it had any right to be. The clue here lies in two words: action comedy. Yes, it's unrealistic and ludicrous in places but I can't believe how much fun it was.
John Malkovich is really enjoying himself here, and Bruce's car exit scene is a fucking winner - big ups to all crew involved in its creation.
M-L Parker is so unbelievably hot... I think I have an obsession.
Interesting how a mediocre and silly action comedy like this one is still one of the few DC films that don’t totally suck. The writing is as silly as the romance novels that the two protagonists read in the movie, but overall, it was pretty enjoyable. It felt closer to a comedy from the 90s than something actually released in 2010. The hilarious moments are mostly tied to the overblown tongue-in-cheek action scenes, but the pacing and quality are a little too inconsistent for my taste. The last mission in particular felt strangely anticlimactic.

The spy thriller RED is an entertaining and action-packed adventure film. Based on a comic series, a group of retired spies come together after escaping a hit squad, and attempt to uncover the reason why they’re being targeted. The film has an excellent cast that includes Bruce Willis, Mary-Louise Parker, Morgan Freeman, and John Malkovich, who all give great performances. The writing is also fairly good, and is able to balance the humor with the action quite well. Additionally, the action is really strong and gives the film a lot of energy; thought there are a few scenes that are bit ridiculous. RED has its weaknesses, but overall it’s an enjoyable and thrilling film that has plenty of laughs too.
It's a fun movie. Can't fault it too much. The cast is awesome. It's competent, funny, and charming. A win in my book.

We go back to see this movie, I put it for my father who is bored with Roman movies on TV. It's still just as well and I still like the characters RED and Kark Urban
7.2/10 fun and entertaining but nothing memorable :)
Very funny and quick witted. It was a little rocky at the beginning but once it hit its stride it was an excellent ride.

One of my favorite movies of 2010. Fun, funny, and full of action, all this with great performances, this movie ticks all the boxes for me.

Very entertaining, I really enjoyed the merge of genres in this movie. Outstanding cast, that helps of course, but still, also good work on pace in the script, etc. All in all, "feel good with a bite" and I would easily recommend this one.

I know it was supposed to be a action comedy, but i didn't find it funny at all. In my opinion it could have been better.
