this movie is so devoid of life. pure bland.

What a sad movie.

No one captures vibes like Sofia Coppola.

Really enjoyed the scope and focus of this, every single shot besides the second to last is from the POV of Priscilla.
Sofia does an incredible job at setting and capturing the mood while subverting the expectation of that mood at the same time.

Knockout performances by Cailee Spaeny and Jacob Elordi here. Beautifully shot and set and not to mention the incredible musical direction.
Not going to be for everyone and some may find it a bore, but if you give in to it, it will repay you.

I just loved the whole movie. Sofia Coppola did an amazing job, every single detail is so well captured. I really emphasize a lot with the story and i was moved till the end. Heartbreaking the ending with a lot of hope to be more..

I saw the film Elvis and the two perspective of their life it's soo heartbreaking. Amazing work.

Just like Priscilla…. I too felt trapped at Graceland. Inside this boring movie. The score is terrible. The story feels so empty and just jumps from scene to scene from their relationship. It also rushes an ending in a movie that dragged on and on. Cailee Spaeny was good and that’s about it.i hate when biopics on artist do movies with out the artists music in it.

I'm pretty sure I would've been more entertained watching actual paint dry.

An unfair portrayal of someone who cannot defend themselves.

An interesting movie if you have a pinch of salt handy.

'Priscilla' from Sofia Coppola works really well as a companion piece to 'Elvis' by Baz Luhrmann. While Luhrmann's film focused on the problematic relationship between Elvis Presley and his manager, Colonel Tom Parker, the controversial romance with his wife only played a minor role. Coppola, on the other hand, focuses almost exclusively on Priscilla's view of the events, and Elvis doesn't come off well here at all. All the grooming of the initially only 14-year-old is really not easy to stomach. And Coppola is strong at staging Elvis' underlying pressure on Priscilla, sometimes more and sometimes less subtly.

The two leads also deliver strong performances, with Cailee Spaeny emerging as a true discovery and Jacob Elordi demonstrating once more that he's a rising star. What I liked most about the movie, however, is that it's not just a victim story because it also shows how Priscilla emancipates herself from Elvis. This whole part could have been a bit more detailed, whereby cuts could have been made in the middle. But even as it is, this movie is worth a recommendation.

Cailee Spaeny has truly put herself on everyone’s radar with this one. She’s probably gonna be in physical therapy for a while from carrying her supporting cast on her back. The other stars of this movie are actually the hair/make-up artists and costume designers. Priscilla’s falsies deserve their own credit. I actually paused halfway through the movie to google if they had received any award nominations for the hair/make-up/costumes yet. Will be well-deserved if they win any of those.

Priscilla is really well done - particularly the set and costume design. However, I could never fully buy into Jacob Elordi as Elvis. I'm glad I saw it, but I don't foresee any reason to revisit it.

Like a used diamond bit: spectacular, dull and it bored the whole time.

Sofia Coppola did a stellar job directing, unfortunately there was nothing (apart from a very talented Cailee Spaeny) there for her to direct.

The story of Priscilla and Elvis. We all know it…. But this movie kind of sucked…. There is absolutely no emotion between Elvis and Priscilla…. You can see them acting and badly. Also the height difference, wow! Too profound…I know it was there to prove a point but it goes into creepy…. And the courtship in the beginning really did have creepy vibes. I think this movie does not represent accurately…. No Elvis music…. Ok this pales in comparison to the Elvis movie of Baz…. Disappointed…

That was awful. Having seen Elvis and enjoyed it. I had high hopes for Priscilla. Sadly it fell flat at every occasion. Neither actor looked even close to who they were playing. The story was weak at best. Elvis was made to look like a massive cock and no sign of the Colonel. The film is a mess..
I'm past caring which of the two films are more accurate. Elvis was just far more entertaining, watch that and give this a miss..

Coppola is good in portraying the female characters and in their costumes. But that is all, the plot is completely uninspiring, and very little happens during the movie.

I'm not the biggest fan of Elvis and I certainly didn't enjoy Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis which wasn't good, so I didn't care about a movie about his wife. If this is somewhat accurate of Elvis then what a dickhead. I appreciate the performances but they were sadly underwhelming especially Cailee Spaeny as Priscilla who just simply couldn't do it as the lead for me. Jacob Elordi was ok, honestly, I couldn't help but notice how fucking tall he was in comparison when standing alongside Cailee. Nicely shot and it's Slow-paced which wasn't a problem but overall I felt that other than Elvis being a shitty husband and more, it was more about him rather than a movie about Priscilla.
I don't think I'll ever watch this again.

Although I liked Priscilla, I felt like it was a really slow movie with many "repeating" dialogue-in-bed scenes . If you ask me Priscilla had a good plot/execution, but it is still kind of forgettible.
The theme and setting were great. I really loved the cinematography from Philippe Le Sourd. Fantastic job. Can not tell you much about the acting as I watched it dubbed in german. But I think from the emotions I saw, the acting was good.
Really weird that there werent any Presley songs featured in a Priscilla PRESELEY movie.. But as it seems it wasn't _Sofia Coppola_s fault, because the estate did not accept her request for the rights.
Otherwise there isn't much to discuss really. It was okay-good. But as I said nothing extraordinary.

My personal rating:
-Plot (Story Arc and Plausibility): 7/10
-Attraction (Premise & Entertainment Value): 6/10
-Theme (Identity & Depth): 7/10
-Acting (Characters & Performance): 7/10
-Dialogue (Storytelling & Context): 6/10
-Cinematography (Visual Language & Lighting, Setting, and Wardrobe): 7/10
-Editing (Pace & Effects): 5/10
-Soundtrack (Sound Design & Film Score): 6/10
-Directing (Vision & Execution): 6.5/10
-The “It” Factor (One-of-a-Kind & Transcendent): 5/10

Overall: 6/10 || 62.5/100

Besides being Elvis' wife, her story was never interesting to begin with. This felt like a cheap made-for-tv movie. Why was this film even made?

I cringed every time he called her 'little one'.
