Pets United is a fun animated kid’s film from Netflix. The story follows a stray dog named Roger who must help the pets of Robo City when they are abandoned after the city becomes fully automated and its citizen forced out by the megalomaniacal mayor. Natalie Dormer leads as fairly solid voice cast, and the animation is well-done; with a number of creative character and set designs. But the plot is rather thin and awkwardly forces in an environmental message at the end. And, the humor is a little broad and slapsticky; aiming for young audiences. Still, despite some rough edges, Pets United is an entertaining film that the whole family can enjoy.
