Nice, sweet family movie. I don't know why everyone is ranting about it.

Love it seen it twice but never gets old

Horrible movie. What a waste of talent.

'Parental Guidance' drags.

It's very much a one-man band as the amusing Billy Crystal stops this from dropping to deeply low depths, he has a decent amount of good gags and is full of sharp wit. Bette Midler is a (not so) close second, she bounces off Crystal's comedy well. All of the cast that play their family are entirely forgettable, almost annoying in fact.

The premise, though it may conclude with a truckload of heart, is boring. It's a tale we've all seen before and it doesn't really add anything different in that regard. It does, to be fair, at least end with a positive meaning which you can't help but appreciate.

Unfortunately, all in all, this fails to the hit correct spot with me.

I don't understand how anyone with a brain could like this. Totally boring, predictable, rote, useless. Best part was the fact that Long Duc Dong is in it.

I had a lot of trouble even paying attention after about 10 minutes into this movie because I felt like I'd been lobotomized with a spork. I wanted to slap some sense into the adults and strangle the kids. This movie goes for the shallowest humor possible and gives the characters even less depth. It gives the audience no credit for being anything more than single-celled organisms. It's flat, it's stupid, it's irritating, and it's not funny.

Its a nice movie to pass time with, maybe watch it with a girl or kids
