Michelle Pfeiffer and George Clooney - sufficient unto the day on their own. Improbable situations, silly interactions, but I still give it a 7 (MP + GC) out of 10. [RomCom]
Part of me admires what I think this movie was trying to accomplish. Rather than just being a run-of-the-mill rom-com, it mixed in more drama than we would typically see in those movies. Sprinkle in a manic pace (the movie takes place over the course of 10 hours) and you might have something unique. The problem is that the film tries to be several things and ends up doing none of them very well. The scenes with Clooney and Pfeiffer and generally very good, but everything else really dragged (especially the scenes with the kids). This movie is probably a '3' with lesser actors.
