It's a recap for those who didn't see the movie in all its blood and profanity. Also a movie for this who like Fred Savage. I'm still not sure if this version was necessary, but at least we get an idea of what a rated R character would be like if it was bought by Disney. ;-)
Even a PG-13 version of Deadpool 2, still feels rated R. The Princess Bride like scenes could have been funnier. To give this more of a reason to exist.
It also could have been more Christmas like. That’s why I even put it on for the holidays.
This is Fred-savage dumb. Deadpool is definitely not a PG-13 character. It's boring and silly if you've already watched deadpool 2.

It still works well enough, and proves the character can work in a PG-13 world, but the film is neutered and you can feel it. So it's still fun, just not AS fun. Though the added segments with Fred Savage are pure gold. It's an oddity that's just testing the waters to open up the character to wider audience.
