Science, logic and reality all take a day off from work as the Anti-Nuclear Power and Global Warming agendas join forces in an attempt to continue to scare the general population.
Unfortunately, they were on a very limited budget so they had to hire Mr. Thompson's 8th grade Science Class as the technical advisors. Here we find out that Hurricanes cause Tsunamis, Hurricanes, not Cyclones, populate the Pacific Ocean, that A/C ducting heated to 140+ degrees does not burn exposed skin, that the same ducting comes standard with interior track-lighting, Computers become self-aware for no reason whatsoever and that television crews are more powerful than the military and are sent in to rescue stranded troops via their chopper because military equipment is not designed to work in the rain.
Yes, these are just a few examples of the WTF moments you'll experience in the 85 minutes of pure cinema failure. However, this is not the good type of bad movie; some campy fun-fest where everyone knows they aren't making Gone with the Wind, but somehow make the experience enjoyable. Even the inclusion of Gil Gerard and Erin Gray (her make-up person needs to be forever fired as she looks more like the Crypt Keeper with all her drawn lines and bland color palette) can't add a spark to the content as neither one plays more than a passing part and are in only a couple of scenes. All in all, this one is a mess and should not be watched unless you are feeling masochistic.
My Suggestion: Bring some friends over and have an impromptu Rifftrax / MST3K party. The only redeeming factor for Nuclear Hurricane is that it makes you appreciate mediocre movies even more.
