Difficult film to review. The subject matter is certainly a worthy one. I have lived with depression for most of my life though for many years it was unrecognised. Therefore I had a level of empathy for the characters in the film. However, this is the problem, the film is better suited to television or place of study. Rather than a cinematic experience it comes across as an educational tool, ticking off all the right boxes to promote discussion amongst those who seek to discover more about bipolar disorder.
