Almost all the films created by Lynch are pointless. They're giving you a nice thing to watch with a couple of weird mystery-like things and then they're suddenly turning into a weird shit without any sense at all. You may think about what's behind, about the secret meaning but even after a lot of hours of analyses, the only thing is you can decode from all this is that some characters know they're in tv and that lynch is creating this film and he's a magician.
"whole thing is on the tape", "i'm a lynch, magician because i have control of a plot", random tv like light effects and people staring and this tv. That's all, it's a whole plot
