The movie is best described as one with a convoluted plot of little interest.

Who killed the ex-wife of the protagonist? Why are they trying to frame him for it? And what does this really have to do with the defective pharmaceuticals that are killing so many people? The movie is supposed to answer these questions --- in addition to providing Anthony-Hopkins-level entertainment. By the end of the movie, most viewers will neither know nor care about the answers to these questions. This is one of the weakest movies in which Anthony Hopkins appears.

This film is guilty of gross misconduct in breaching the laws of logic and wasting the talent of good actors.

In the final third of a movie, a maniac is racing around on a motorcycle. For no reason in the world, the main character decides to chase him. In the next scene, the maniac has the guy tied up along with the guy's wife. There was no reason to chase the motorcycle, so anything that comes from this can not possibly relate to the ongoing plot of the movie.. Right? .....Wrong!

In the next scene it turns out this is the main plot. It has nothing to do with the movie that came before, but the writers are trying to be suspenseful and have a twist ending! Unfortunately, they are doing it wrong.

They just make up a whole bunch of extra facts that have never been discussed before and show a whole bunch of flashbacks that go against everything you have seen, and then fade to black. That is not how suspense works!
