As a flic comedy it works at times thanks to Isabelle Huppert's ability to resolve even the most inconsistent scenes. But it is a flimsy script that needs a lot of convincing from the viewer to maintain interest. It is an inconsequential film that focuses so much on the protagonist that it betrays the verisimilitude of the supporting characters.

Remember Weeds, that TV series about the housewife who sells marijuana? Yeah, so does whoever wrote this. Unfortunately, comedy is based on surprises, and Mama Weed doesn't have any surprises.
