impossible not to notice how heavily celine's skin is filtered/edited. apart from that, a cute and funny movie
Cliched, outdated and predictable romance strangely mixed with what is basically Celine Dion propaganda. The film tries to convince us that Celine is a goddess and a love expert. I mean, sure she's got a great voice and some huge songs, but her appearance in this film is sadly not very good. The cast mostly consists of British actors and while it was nice to see Russell Tovey, Lydia West and Steve Oram in the supporting roles, it would really make sense more if this was in the UK instead of pretend New York. Overall, a bit of a disaster unless you're hungry for romance films.
Lastly, a personal preference but I wonder if this was slightly better if Sam Heughan was the dead boyfriend and Arinze Kene the new romantic interest...

Sorry, I thought this movie would be great and I love Celine Dione, but it fell flat.
2023-06 Priyanka and her sister's acting was actually pretty good, but everyone else was really cheesy. Plot was also super predictable. Felt a little like an AI generated script or something.
A very weak and predictable love story to counterprogram The Guardians of the Galaxy.

At the end of the day this romantic comedy doesn’t really work!!!!
The lead actress is very wooden and doesn’t know how to show emotion of any kind….
The few minutes we had with the original boyfriend made him a more interesting character for me and I found myself wanting the story to be flipped and for her to die!!!!!
It also has a very English feel to it as if it should be based in London instead of New York, most of the other characters just had the mannerisms of the British and I guess this was boosted by so many English actors in the movie…..

It’s worth watching once at least, but be ready to wish there was a few changes to it….
I don’t think it would ever be a fantastic movie however it was made, but instead of being a fair movie, it could have been a good movie….
I came for Celine and I left satisfied.
Pro: Parts of the movie had some Nora Ephrone vibe.
Con: The filmmakers tried so hard but failed. There was no chemistry between the leads. Some of the lines were just awful. The supporting characters were more of a highlight.
I like Sony probably more than the next person, but gosh the product placement was relentless! Even Celine Dion's prominent role in the plot could count, since she's signed to a Sony label.
Oddly enough, apart from two, most of the phones seem to be (old) Samsung models, not Sony.
Another chick-flick following the same formula that the other 99,000 chick flicks that have come before it, and will continue to be made till Infiniti.
Celine Dion is the executive producer and inserted herself in the movie... someone didn't tell her she can't act though.
I've never considered myself as romantic comedies fan, but I quite enjoyed it. Maybe it's because of the cast, which I liked (the addition of Nick Jonas was quite clever and funny). Or maybe I just needed something like this in my life right now. Either way, I'm really positively surprised by this movie (even if it was a little cringy at times). And who knows, maybe there is still a chance to become a Celine Dion fan? (still.. don't think so :sweat_smile:)

Also holy shit I paused this movie to look up facts about Celine Dion's marriage. They met when he became her manager and he was 38 and she was TWELVE!!!! What?!?! Really undercut the message here...
A typical rom-com that doesn't stand out too much in the crowd, but for Céline Dion it's a definite +1. :)

This felt like a Celine Dion extended music video. Not a well written romantic movie.
why was the poster she made for Celine in the credits?! I wanted to see it in the film...or did I miss it? ... it was cute. The soundtrack is all Celine Dion songs...more variety would have been welcomed, even if she's definitely amazing. Acting was fine, but something was missing in the climax and the result afterwards...it went too fast compared to the rest of the movie.

This wasn’t a particularly good movie. It wasn’t the worst? Sam Heughan is a beautiful man, even though his character was cringey.
I like Celine Dion, but can I tell you… this movie laid it on a THICK about Rene. She even had a line about how their relationship was just professional until she won Eurovision… it sounded VERY deliberate to distract from the fact that he was a groomer.
Besides them at grossness, the movie was fine? I won’t watch again. But I won’t judge you if you do!
