This movie is what somewhat interesting. It came up from the Anime Mirai project, where the japanese govt. gives studios money to make interesting and new ideas from new people. That's the only rule, only new people and nothing must be rehashed. This movie doesn't do much aside from being pure fun. It's simple, it's about this girl that wanted to be a witch thanks to a well known somewhat-idol-like witch and she tried her best to do so. It's amazing how pure this movie is in general. It has become one of my favorite movies in a long time even though it's so short. You just need good character interactions to make things flow and this is what movie does well. The animation is also stunning!
Super-awesome animation by talented young Japanese animators, goofy characters, magical fights and dragons, what could be better? A lot of fun!
The first time I watched it I thought this was rather shallow, but after seeing the TV series and coming back and seeing the ideas they had germinating I appreciate it more. It's also pretty fun.

Pretty weak and forgettable. Funny at some point, but cliche as f*ck. The animation shines at times, but nothing you would be remembering or be talking about in a few years.
Only recommendable for people who loves wizard school shows, Potter-esque paraphernalia and/or magical girl tropes.
