This felt good to me, not great, although its historical importance can't be denied. Fun to see narrative conventions that I've come to know and love through modern gangster movies, but it also felt a bit dated. Most of that, for me, can be attributed to Robinson's performance. He's got the face, but not the voice, and I struggled to believe the character.
