Leatherface just looks off in this one. The first two he looked scary and this one the long hair kinda makes him almost normal. This was just a generic slasher. Viggo was good, interesting seeing him in one of his earlier roles.

My favorite film of the franchise. I enjoy the new family, the portrayal of Leatherface and the metal on the soundtrack. The protagonists are pretty obnoxious though. Still, it's a fun chainsaw movie.

The first half is actually fairly reasonably watchable but the thing is apart from the always reliable Viggo, the family is the least interesting part and the film buckles in the second half STILL not the worst TCM

A rather generic sequel which doesn’t really do much different from the previous two. It's not as awful as I thought it’d be but still pretty aggressively average overall. The creepy gas station guy is a trope at this point. The weak kills make it too tiresome at times and the mpaa rating does hurt this film a lot. It moves by quickly at least though. And it has a sense of humor and a lot of camp that makes it quite enjoyable.

A decent sequel, but definitely not as good as the first two films in the series. The film overall wasn't that interesting in my opinion, however there are some excellent scenes. Especially the scene towards the end, where the girl gets chased by Leatherface and decides to get here revenge by pushing a large rock against Leatherface to make him drown in the swamp. This film isn't perfect, but it is a decent sequel and pretty enjoyable.

Intense and horrific, Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III is a return to form for the series. While traveling through Texas a couple on their way to Florida are run off the road and hunted by a cannibalistic family. Viggo Mortensen leads the cast and gives a strong performance, and newcomer Kate Hodge is also quite impressive. And while the story follows the structure of the other films, it’s still able to remain frightening and suspenseful. Additionally, the fights and chases are exciting and action-packed. Though it’s clichéd at times, Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III is a chilling and terrifying slasher film.
