The best fantasy love story ever told!
If you are 8-12 years old and living in the 80's you'll probably love this.
If you're any other demographic at any other time, you'll find it very hard to concentrate on this because your brain is constantly screaming 'Christ this is shit. This is so fucking shit. Why won't Matthew Broderick shut the fuck up?"
Don't get me started on the music.
First time i've seen in american movie - tranformation to animal form or back means you have no clothes
- most of the time the music didn't fit very well in my opinion

A spell prevents a couple from seeing each other, at least as humans.
Ahhh 80s fantasy films. Music by Alan Parsons what with keyboards doesn’t really fit the time period of the movie. A young looking and humorous Matthew Broderick, a pompous John Wood, a rugged Rutger Hauer, a beautiful (with hawk like features) Michelle Pfeiffer, the early Hollywood days of Alfred Molina and Leo McKern’s finest role resulting in a great cast.
This was bad. Stupid story, horrible written characters and then the scenes! Feel like they had a script but lost it in the sewers and was forced to improvise based on location and set pieces. How people like this shit is beyond me.
An original plot and a very good movie, but... for the year in which it was made. Currently it is a tad below average.
