3's enough ya fat ass panda
I was 18 when i watched it but i still enjoyed it so much.
It was fun and the story was good to.
The jokes and dialogues are great, especially the interactions between Po and Kai.
Kung Fu Panda 3 dose deliver on being a lighthearted movie for the family, but brings nothing new to the table.
The animation is visually beautiful with it's lively colors that can leave anyone in awe. All the cast did a terrific job voicing their characters and Hans Zimmer score was amazing. The movie itself has such a sweet and positive energy to it that it's hard not to have a smile your face while watching it. Unfortunately the story is a bit scattered and some of humor didn't really do it for me.
Kung Fu Panda 3 is about what you would expect. A roller coaster ride of gags, goof ups and outrageous martial art outbursts.
Po is himself, clumsy, naïve, martial arts master and funny. As usual he is accompanied by his friends from the previous movies including the somewhat reluctant Shifu. The wise turtle Oogway from the first Kung Fu Panda is back as well, kind of.
Naturally there is a big bad villain, General Kai, who it turns out have some past relations to Oogway. General Kai is pretty good as a villain with a suitable maniacal expression on his face. Then of course, a bull in itself is already projecting bad temper and violence so it is a good start.
The main story is of course about defeating General Kai but Po’s reunification with his (real) father and the rest of the, funny and very clumsy, inhabitants in the Panda village is taking up a large part of the movie.
In general the story is quite nice with some nice twists.
It should come as no surprise that Po, as usual, saves the day in a cataclysmic showdown with General Kai. There are some great animation effects in the final battle.
At the end of the day this is a quite recommendable family movie.
Heavy on style, but unfortunately a little lighter on substance. That probably makes this a great watch with the kids, just a shame they didn't quite find the same balance for all ages that the very best animated films achieve
The movie itself is not that good. But the soundtrack by Zimmer is amazing, as usual.
Dentre os 3 filmes da franquia, este é o mais infantilóide.
I haven't seen such beautiful animation and haven't heard sountrack for a long time. Definitely one of the best animated movies. I was really affraid that it will be cheesy and somehow fake but it was brillaint!
This was good, but definitely not up to the usual kung fu panda standards. 7/10
The best trilogy movie so far
I really enjoyed it!
I wish it never ends :P
Watching this for the first time in 2024, the first two films were classics of my childhood. I'd say this is the weakest of the first 3, but still a banger. Anything with Shifu and the Five was awesome, but I think the second act got bogged down with too much Panda Village filler. While Kai had a great powerset, he felt underdeveloped as a character and as a threat, and can't hold a candle to Tai Lung or Lord Shen. Visuals got a major upgrade in this one. I'm starting to realize this franchise might secretly be a really good western anime. Can't wait to see #4 in theaters!
While I don't think this is as great as the first two movies, this is still a good addition to the Kind Fu Panda franchise. I'm interested to see where they go next if they're really planning to make a fourth one.
When an evil warlord returns from the spirit world, Po must master the art of chi in order to defeat him. Most of the original cast returns and are joined by J.K. Simmons and Kate Hudson; who all give pretty good performances (except of Jackie Chan and Lucy Liu, who are obviously phoning it in). The animation is really good, with a lot of vivid coloring and interesting character designs. And, the comedy delivers a lot of laughs; though most of it is aimed at children. However, the after school special-ish “be the best you” message is rather cheesy and undermines the disciple and skill that goes into kung fu, and the menace posed by the villain. Yet despite its flaws, Kung Fu Panda 3 is an entertaining and enjoyable family film.
What a gorgeous movie. It’s not as strong plot or character wise as the second, but those visuals more than make up for it.
It’s the best one :)
Kung Fu Panda has always been an adorable series. It is a flavour Panchatantra spiced with the Kung Fu action-angle. This combination manages to offer some really good moral lessons and entertaining action. The first movie had the freshness of the franchise, the second build on top of it, but I could not see anything new being added by the third instalment of the series.
We have a more archaic villain this time. The threat comes from the spirit world where Kai, a onetime companion of Oogway himself, is after the Chi of his fellow comrades. He wants to control all the chi to become the supreme ruler. The dragon warrior and his friends need to stop him.
I found the script somewhat of a rehash of the first movie. We have a villain who can not be managed by all the learned Kung Fu warriors. Valley is evacuated and all. Kai possesses the ability to capture the chi of other warriors and use these warriors as his green jaded pawns. Unfortunately, this ability does not produce a lot of conflicts. This still is a good kids movie. Especially the panda village would send kids laughing on the floor. Yet, when you compare the film with its predecessors, it falls short to carry on the legacy.
The first movie managed to introduce the universe beautifully. There were some high profile voice actors too. The second one managed to add some memorable characters to the mix and had some great action sequences. But the third movie does not manage to add something fresh and new.
A good one to continue to the series if you are invested, but otherwise, can be skipped.
This is literally Madagascar 2 but better
It's predictable and cheesy, but very enjoyable anyway, and with some hilarious scenes. Definitely worth watching .
Hilarious, but problematic.
The introduction of the universe of pandas in the saga gave a new air super funny and interesting for the saga. The fun guarantees the movie, since the plot does not catch. The plot of the villain is weak, his motivation does not convince you, the development of the character is almost non-existent (and this goes for almost everyone), the outcome is not surprising and seems like a reprise of the first films.
If the film had a half-hour longer, perhaps it could have been more perfected.
After all, it's an extremely entertaining movie, I laughed too much watching.
The last chapter of the trilogy dates back to this year (2016); it sees Po reunited with his real father and a panda community escaped to the attacks of Lord Shen. The dragon warrior must absolutely find a way to figure out who it is, because only this thing will bring it to master what it needs to defeat Kai, a warrior back from the spirit world (to be remembered the scene in which it destroys the Jade Palace) that is the most fearsome villain of the saga. The protagonist suggests that this is the final chapter of the story, thing that I hope, because the movie cannot keep alive the attention of the viewer – all the best gags were included in the trailer and there are no more – and it seems that now there is nothing left to say about the characters. In fact, it was once again exploited the strong figure of Oogwai.
The good thing about the movie is that the five cyclones recover the importance in the narration that they had lost in the second film, and that Po‘s father, Mr. Ping the goose, assumes a place of relevance and captivates the viewer’s sympathies.
Although the movie does not leave the sign as its two predecessors, it is worth watching because, together with the Korean Jennifer Yuh, we also find the Italian Alessandro Carlone to his guidance.
Fun, sweet, but probably not as good as the first 2.
The weakest of the three i believe, i got bored a bit and didn't laugh such much.
A very enjoyable conclusion to the Kung Fu Panda trilogy (if it IS the conclusion...)
I liked this a lot. I loved that it was something I could take my younger children to and still enjoy it myself. The movie never takes itself TOO seriously, though I can imagine some people won't like how it lightened tense scenes with humor and never let you get TOO afraid of the main villain. But I thought that was fine since the movie's focus seemed to be more about Po & his relationship with the pandas anyway.
Just well done overall. We'll definitely own this one.
Favorite line: "Come on Monkey! Master Chicken is even going in there... and HE'S A CHICKEN!!!"
