There are good and bad movies in any decade of cinema and I think this one is rather a bad one. Even the likes of Power, Fonda and Scott are not able to overcome the weak story. By no means is this a revenge tale. It is, for the most part, a cheesy and badly written love story. I can not see the supreme epic this is supposed to be. The movie just rolls along and I checked a lot of times how much is left to watch. And in the end when James got shot I was glad it was over. I like western and have seen many of them multiple times. This one will drift into nirvana.
