Ok so it's not a 10..but they still got it. It was bittersweet watching the gang..nostalgic too...bro we were dyin rollin watching these fools on a dubbed cky VHS tape. Before my 20 year old kid was even born. Shit we was kids..20 plus years have gone by and I still laughed out loud in the theater so thank you Johnny and crew..we have watched so many hours of you guys over the years and various shows..git your shit together Bam.. but yeah man, it's not a 10 but it was hella fun to watch with my family and it Absolutely sucks that there may never be another
"Concussions aren't great, but as long as you have them before you're 50, it's cool, and Knoxville is 49, so we're good."
The laughs just kept coming, I just couldn't stop. From seeing the fear of death in the eyes of "MVP" Ehren, to Steve-O exploding a fart under water, seeing the Kaiju opening, the younger guys, Dark-Shark, the silence of the lambs prank, the many penises, being 51 and shitting yourself, Lance still puking, the BEES, "Do I have your consent?", the Dum Dum Game, all the different cup tests and the classic Bull magic trick.
I still can't get enough and I can't wait for 4.5 to be released on Netflix. I will never outgrow these films. I love hearing people laugh while watching it. I love seeing them having fun and they all laugh so hard.
Jackass Forever is my favorite in the franchise if you ask me right now. Will it be after a rewatch? I think it might be. It was so damn entertaining that I didn't even miss Bam.
However I did miss Ryan Dunn and I loved the final shot after the credits.
Ryan Dunn forever.
PS. Go see this at the cinema if possible. You won't regret it.
Jackass... What can I say. It's a cash grab using nostalgia as the hook. Like most movies that use nostalgia to attract audiences, it lacks anything original and tries to introduce new characters that nobody asked for or cares about. In this case we got team 'diversity', an uninteresting, generic bunch that tick some boxes. They added nothing to the show.
If you watched the original show jackass back when it was new, you'll remember how organic the stunts felt, and the banter was real between the guys in the show. This movie is so scripted and the stunts so staged it feels sterile and boring. They basically have one joke that's repeated over and over... 'look, it's a penis. Isn't this funny'.
The best bit of this movie was the end credits... They show old footage of the gang back when they weren't just there for the pay cheque
So what's the point or takeaway from this $hitty movie?
Guess I'm too old for this. Reminds me of Idiocracy.
Exactly what I expected going into it.
Juvenile, dangerous stunts and pranks, many with a decent chunk of style but none of them having any real substance.
I only saw it because my friends dragged me to the budget theater, and I only really went because that theater has a pinball table (which was out of order anyway, unfortunately).
The best part was the sequence early on with the dark room. I appreciated how much of a mind-fuck that one was to the participants. Everything just went downhill after that, with a focus on a bunch of boring gags featuring physical abuse.
Half a star for some good visual style, and half a star for the cast having fun personalities, but there really isn't much of anything of merit here, otherwise.
pretty disappointing, easily the worst jackass movie
You'll see a lot of balls, lots of dick and have a good laugh that's for sure! Welcome to Jackass!!!
I was skeptical without some of the originals but it’s the same old Jackass. I mean that in the best way possible. Jackass forever indeed!
Everything about this screams cringe, especially Knoxville and Steve-O doing the light work and being paid the big bucks when they're practically irrelevant to the franchise. Me calling this a franchise was cringe-worthy in and of itself. Easily the worst Jackass movie of them all. I dropped this turd of a movie halfway through.
Despite all the stupid, boring, uninteresting, bland, bollocks pulled, I finally had enough when they kept on smashing and grazing balls, ball sacks and scrotums. It's not a political issue, but as a man that makes my own balls shrivel into my stomach. It's a cute "prank" when you line up 12yo kids to kick your balls while wearing a cup, it's another to having them crushed by a pogo stick with another person on top. Btw, having a skateboard dropped on its side, like a guillotine, over Steve-O's shins was nothing but idiotic.
TL;DR: The funny parts can't make up for the disgusting and desperate attempts to impress. Bam Margera, be glad not to have featured in this sh!t show.
Good to see them back, same type of thing but just as funny. Why change an original thing.
Honestly, golden. Jackass 3 would have been a nice last movie, but this one feels more like a 'goodbye' than the third one did.
This is technically the 4th full length prank/stunt movie the Jackass crew released, a feat in itself.
But they're hilarious, and Jackass Forever may be their magnum opus.
However, if you're grossed out by the opening green monster scene, this isn't for you.
"You might be younger, taller, better looking, richer, more talented... but motherfucker I can ride!"
I am not sure if it's because I am older now, but I used to watch these and think "I could totally do that." As I watched Jackass Forever I kept thinking "These guys are insane." If you are wanting a true Jackass movie, look no further. You will laugh, you will want to look away, and you might even want to vomit.
Fun for jackass fans and who else would really watch this? some legit lol moments and some hard cringe ones too. All to be expected. 6.9 for me. Niccce.
Jackass without Bam just isn’t the same :(
Always fun to spend some time with the dudes from Jackass and look at their dicks and watch them get hurt. This entry is no exception but maybe missing that one standout gag
Unfunny garbage. So the same as every other Jackass movie.
Just one hour and a half of gratuitous vulgarity.
Fucking hilarious! I couldn’t stop laughing. I wish they filmed more of the dark room prank with the iron pans hanging from the ceiling
i dont know if i'm cringing due to the skits .. or cringing due to their age AND the skits.
cringe
Well, we'll see how it's going to be without Bam and Dunn
Surprisingly better than I thought it would be.
Missed Bam still
It was more jackass, what can you expect? It was less gross stuff, more painful stunts and way more balls.
i am going to perform all of these stunts at home
If you are surprised by anything in this movie, you don't know the show. It is what it is.
This might be the best one yet... but at the same time the most uncomfortable to watch.
Why do they do this to themselves? Ooh yeah, for us to laugh along with them!!
10/10
Shockingly this is on par with the rest of the series. It sucks to see Dunn and Bam gone, but the new guys are a fun addition. I thought with all the time passed, the age and the sobering up that this couldn't be as funny, but boy was I wrong. The boys are just as wild and ridiculous as ever.
Well that one had a lot more penis in it infact too much and didn’t need it but other than that good to see the lads back doing insane extreme crazy near death shit but that’s what jackass is and I enjoy it and it made me laugh all the way through.
Ridiculous and irresponsible but it will probably tick all of your boxes if you're into this kind of thing.
It’s all about stupid dicks. I love it.
(Not geh.)
Is Jackass Forever a stupid film? Of course it is.
Is Jackass Forever a very much needed slap in the ossified sensibilities of the postmodernist film world? Absolutely.
Jackass could be a perfectly valid, critically acclaimed piece of performance art and avant-garde filmmaking, post-structuralist and "beyond the tight confines of the oppression of plot and narrative"... if it were to be made by moustache-twirling hipsters in chequered socks and braces.
While it might not be intentionally so (especially in the start of the Jackass franchise, but perhaps less now), its mere existence is an affront to the systemic adulation of relativism, which is keenly employed to mask the incompetence that inevitably comes after a few decades of the complete abandonment of skill, beauty and the sublime. If everything is relative, and there are no standards of beauty, why isn't a middle-aged man bouncing around in a chemical toilet, truly beautiful? And who is anyone to judge otherwise?
And since Jackass is comedy, but not satire, it leaves absolutely zero space for pointing fingers and whataboutisms. Who can really be offended with a bunch of dudes who put themselves to complete torture just to have a few cheap laughs? Even worse, who can really be offended on their behalf?
But still, Jackass offends. It offends by its relentless freedom, by its sheer energy, its virility which is disproportionate for the age of the people behind it. It offends not because it is bad, because of course it is, but because it does not pretend to be otherwise.
I would like to live in a world that I didn't like Jackass Forever so much.
What a load of s**t
More of the same, a waste of time.
Good for a handful of laughs. Great seeing a lot of the crew. Not as funny as previous Jackass films
Wow!!! Not sure what to say.
Another attempt at cashing in on nostalgia, because besides that, I can't think of any adults who's unfamiliar with the show would find this funny or entertaining. I was mildly amused by this if I recall, but it's still too juvenile and stupid for my tastes. Or maybe I'm just not fun anymore.
I haven't laughed and cringed this hard in a while.
I love these idiots.
