Offbeat western, not to be taken too seriously!

Whoever wrote the movie overview blatantly never even watched the film.
Fairly straightforward cowboy settlement revenge movie and pretty easy watching but you will never remember it for anything in particular.

Very entertaining western. The cast works well. Funny, dark, cool. The pacing in the second part of the movie is snappy.

Btw. John Wick is more like action dancing. This is a western.
It is just the same trope.

Im excited for the next Ti West movies.

The comments saying it's a cowboy John Wick are spot on. Very easy movie to watch while multitasking.

The worse western I have ever seen. Pure crap.

Mediocre revenge western with some attempts at humor. Better watch The Salvation starring Mads Mikkelsen.

I have always loved western and since it is kind of a dead genre today I`m always looking forward when one comes up.
This is not oriented along the classical western but it has elements of the italo-style which I like. You could easily imagine Eastwood in the lead role 50 years ago. It´s basically a typical revenge story with a little twist but all the usual elements. Don´t bother reading the plot above because it´s all mixed up. It is probably not one for the casual viewer but if you are a fan of the genre I´d say you will enjoy it. I know I did.

Unforgiven meets John Wick, with a dash of Alex Cox's Straight To Hell; Ti West takes a confident and successful step away from his usual fare.
