At different times this movie reminded me of ten other rom coms that I've seen. Unfortunately all ten were EASILY better than this movie. This movie has issues all over the place. First, the two male leads are awful. The one has no personality and the other is doing a poor imitation of Robert Redford (it turns out that you can't fake real charm or acting ability, even if you look the part). But the worst part about this movie (and it isn't close) is Stephen Merchant. I've enjoyed his work for many years but they made him a clown in this movie (is there any easier scene to write than a best man speech in a rom com? It was brutal). You can see where the movie is going but when it gets there it just doesn't feel believable. This was a seriously mediocre movie.

I loved this movie, good jokes a lot of good laughs and just funny. Maybe not for the 16 year old kiddo's.

Rafe Spall plays the slubbby loser type of guy in different things I have seen. This movie is full of a lot of failure and awkward moments. He just sits around being a poor husband choice. The humor comes from all the mistakes he is making. He is playing a similar character in his show "Pete versus Life."

Bland and uninspired, I Give It A Year is a rote and stereotypical romantic comedy. Newlyweds Josh and Natasha have their love tested as they discover eccentricities about each other during the course of their first year of marriage, leading them to question whether or not they’ll be able to make it work. Featuring Rose Byrne, Simon Baker, and Anna Faris, the cast is fairly solid. However, the writing is especially poor, and all of the jokes and plot turns can be seen coming from a mile away. I Give It A Year delivers a few laughs, but it’s just too predictable.

The Movie was really bad, the only Good was Simon Baker. The reason I watched it till the End was the hope he and Nat would finally find each other.

Funny in places, have seen better, not recommended. Notting Hill or Love, Actually are better.

I think you like this movie when you are married. Or divorced.

But if you are not, you only get 2-3 laughs when watching this movie. And thats not enough for 1.5 hours of your life time. And the end is really bad. Dafuq?
