Hulk: Where Monsters Dwell 2016

“Let’s fight like monsters!” After a smashing Christmas special Marvel gives Hulk his own holiday feature with Hulk: Where Monsters Dwell. On All Hallows’ Eve Doctor Strange recruits the Hulk and the Paranormal Containment Unit to help stop Nightmare from crossing over from the Dream Dimension and raising an army. For this horror themed story Marvel pulls out some of its weirder characters, such as Vampire by Night, Warwolf, Man-Thing, and a zombie SHIELD agent. However, Nightmare is a clichéd villain with the usual world domination schemes and speeches about fear. And the plot is kind of dumb, and the logic and rules of the Dream Dimension are hard to follow. While it’s a bit of fun and gives a few of Marvel’s C-stringers some screen time, Hulk: Where Monsters Dwell is just too much of a mess.
