Well....this was bad! :D If they wanted to use real serial killer (H.H. Holmes in this case), they should have use that story as a main focus, and I think that that would be a great movie, with a sick story. But here you have some backstory about him in like a sentence or two, and we see his picture in like the first 5 minutes, so you know what will happen in the movie :D No MYSTERY aspect at all! Bad script, bad dialog.... and that "white" guy!?? Why? What?? :D Ok, nice touch in the end with that twist, but...not enough for better rate... 4/10.
If you're looking for a scary hotel movie, book into the Overlook (The Shining). Still, this isn't a bad effort, but given a bigger budget it could have been a lot more inventive.

Havenhurst is an okay Horror/Thriller with a hint of Mystery. It's more in the Thriller genre but if you've never seen a horror movie before than there might be some jump scares that will get you.
Movie works best for just casually watching or if your doing something else and just need background noise.
