After the disappointment of Free Fire- local boy Ben Wheatley is back on form....wonderful and dysfunctional. Like watching a family reunion :) . I could watch the closing credits on LOOP ....absolutely stunning soundtrack by Clint Mansell

Let's hope your new year's celebrations were more jubilant than this one! Still, the film is reflective of similar scenes in our homes and lives at this time of the year. Long held resentments rise to the surface, words are said, and feelings are hurt. And then the bells chime, and cries ring out - Happy New Year! Resentments are covered over again, words are seemingly forgiven, and hurt feelings are partitioned in the hope that the people we spend our lives with willl be somehow nicer in the year ahead! That's a summary of the film (partly) and a summary of experiences common to many. A good film, and a timely one if you saw this around the New Year.
