I have no idea why everyone left this kind of comments. I liked it. I always enjoy watching a good thriller. One or two little things and well... Al Pacino and his accent. But I stay 8/10.
Why the hell they did not chase him in the church and in the slaughterhouse? It could be very good movie, but some things were pretty illogical.
Al Pacino shouldn't be playing any kind of role that involves him having to use a southern accent... Other than that the movie was tolerable. Plot was decent but predictable.
Hangman had the potential to be a standout thriller with Al Pacino's involvement, but it fell short of my expectations. While it wasn't a terrible movie, it left me feeling underwhelmed. The film's writing and pacing issues prevented it from becoming the gripping thriller it could have been. As a fan of Pacino, I can't help but wish that this film had been more compelling.
absolutely terrible, two seasoned cops, but the smart female reporter almost single handedly sees al the clues, you'd think Pacino would pass on such a terrible script, not to mention a whole cast of fellow B-actors(at best!)....
I can keep this very short and simple.... terrible acting, directing and a total waist of time....
It wasn't a bad movie overall. My main issue was the very end. Why do movies feel they need to leave a cliffhanger? You finished it up and it could have been a one and done B movie. No! You have to throw a twist in at the end that will never be fleshed out in a sequel.

A mediocre thriller, Hangman is a poorly made film that’s not very intense or suspenseful. While being shadowed by a journalist Detective Ruiney catches a serial killer case where the killer is playing a game of hangman, killing someone every 24-hours to reveal a new letter. Starring Al Pacino, Karl Urban, Brittany Snow, and Sarah Shahi, the cast is pretty good and delivers solid performances, but the script is weak, doing a really poor job at connecting the clues and murder victims; it all seems rather random. Also, there’s no mystery as to who the killer is as they don’t really set one up, focusing more on where and who the victims are. Hangman has problems, but it’s atmospheric and delivers some thrills.
This was pretty good. It had a few scenes that, though they revealed character driven moments, were almost pointless to the overall storyline and only resulted in slowing down any suspense that was built. I felt it was missing quite a bit. All that said, I did rather enjoy it. Just don't go into this with inflated expectations.

This move is soooo bad and such a waste of time. Bad plot, bad writing and everyone over-acting... it's not even good enough to be a bad 'B' movie. Al Pachino used to be a good actor, but about 20 years ago he just gave up and keeps phoning in his work. If you've seen any of his films you'll see it right away... same expressions, same attitude, same "acting" for 20 years now.
This movie is a dog - don't watch!!
