Hamburger Hill 1987

This movie had a profound effect on me when it came out in the 80s when I was a young guy in the navy. I didn't realize the reality of war and Viet Nam until I saw this. Watching it now these years later in the comfort of my beach home and retirement it brings me back to the horror that was Viet Nam.

i find this movie and also platoon as the best movies that tries to transfer to the viewer how it feels to be a grunt
