There is same crazy stuff going on in this stupid movie. It has some style and is entertaining at times. I appreciate Daniel Radcliffe taking this wildly different roles.
sorry for everyone who wasn't able to enjoy watching this piece of .. art? on LSD with a big portion of coke probably. Judge me. I don't care. I really liked it and it was no waste of time. and still a better lovestory than twilight!
Crank meets Scott Pilgrim, Guns Akimbo is entertaining at times, but overall fails in being the ADD-infused action romp it's striving to be. I wish there had been more of the hyperstylised action scenes throughout and more interplay between Weaving and Radcliffe's characters, definitely the two standout areas of this flick that I enjoyed.

Jokes aside, Guns Akimbo is a comedy starring the usually crazy (and in some parts of the movie, drugged) Daniel Redcliff, who plays various characters throughout the course of the movie.
Expect some crazy stuff from this movie (be warned, there is also some "gore").

Personally, I found it entertaining at some points, but most of the time boring and nonsensical, especially the last "transformation" of the main protagonist, who for the duration of the film behaves one way in the face of violence, and then totally change his view of it, without a minimum of development.

Harry Potter with guns! Do I have to say more? For me Daniel Radcliffe will forever be associated with the magician boy with whom he grew up and became famous as an actor. Even though I had a lot of fun with his subsequent films like Horns (2013) and Swiss Army Man (2016). So I found the first pictures of Guns Akimbo (2020) all the more exciting. Daniel Radcliffe with two automatic pistols mounted on his hands? Always bring it on!
The film is not exactly bursting with an elegant, demanding plot, but the film's show values and staging make this film an exciting experience. The effect I mean is comparable to Mad Max Fury Road (2015) - an unforgettable firework display despite a rather negligible story, even if this film does not match the spectacle of George Miller. Bright neon colors, hectic cuts, a little silly humor and a wonderfully oppressive soundtrack (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt06902676/soundtrack) result in an explosive whole work, in which one feels a bright joy in his home cinema. 8/10
Style over substance seems to describe this movies best in my opinion. And that's basically all that this movie has going for it. Good enough for 90mins of mindlessly watching flashy graphics and action, don't go in looking for anything more.
that was ridiculously fun to watch. I mean, I wish the fight sequences were choreographed better to look cool, but it was fine..I guess. Just order pizza, get some cold beer, sit back and laugh while watching this.. and voila! perfect night for me.
Nice action scenes and soundtrack! Was looking forward to this movie for a while lol. Didn’t fall short of my expectations at all. Daniel Radcliff and Samara Weaving played the shit out of their characters. Wish there was a bigger plot twist and a bit more recklessness just so this movie gets that little extra edge it needed. Other than that pretty good movie to just put on and watch with a bunch of friends on a boring night!

If you've ever wondered if you're susceptible to motion sickness, watch this and you'll know straight away. Oh, and also it's a really mediocre movie, reminds me of Watch_Dogs 2 with all the "over-the-top, neon, internet memes. LOL !". Imagine a dedicated team of out of touch "meme specialists" got together and tried to write a movie they hoped would "go viral". That's what this is: artificial, corporate sponsored, edginess.
Not bad. I love the action scenes and the choreography is top notch! very entertaining for something that they did right with the cheesiness and campy & cringey parts.

Hunger Games. Running Man. Predator. What if the game of cat and mouse...was given to an insect? Great, violent action scenes and some dark gallows humor buoy this film to a fun film!
The title says it all. Guns Akimbo, pew pew. It tries to be a commentary on social media too, I suppose? But honestly it's very surface level and feels disjointed from the over-the-top premise making it harder to suspend disbelief.
All in all, enjoyable.

This was much better than I expected.
The movie is set in a not-too-distant future where people watch organized crime, online, like was live-action Grand Theft Auto.
I was absolutely drawing a parallel to The Running Man. Aside from the simple premise, the similarity stops there. This movie is in its own world, and playing by its own rules. Stylistically, this is sort of like Edgar Wright, only far more violent. It could also find a kindred spirit in Neill Blomkamp, but really, Hardcore Henry is the closest comparison I can make.
To put it simply: the movie is over-to-top violent, but still funny.
Onto the cast: everyone does a great job here, even characters to are only in a few scenes. However, the real star here is Samara Weaving as Nix - she is almost unrecognizable, and looks more than a little like Sweet Dee, when she was strung out on crack.
Seriously one of the best and most unique movies I have seen in a long time.

Starts strong with good pacing and entertaining scenes but drops off in the final phase as Miles suddenly becomes a fully trained killer after stumbling through the first two phases of the film looking to avoid conflict.
Solid moments and great performances but somewhat falls flat.
6/10 - Above-average film that I'd rewatch if in the right mood.

Simply said this was a lot of fun. Action & story were both good. I've really been enjoying Radcliffe's role choices. He likes to keep it interesting and different.

That was a fun simple storyline and different with plenty of decent action and some good effects, also loved the sense of humor within It and a sound performance from Radcliffe. Credit to the funniest guy In It that goes by other names In other films one being (Psycho Sam), I'd of loved to see more of his character In this. XD
If you liked this movie, then check out Nerve (2016). It has the same movie gimmick: a populair app where players have to complete assignments, with viewers from home. I enjoyed that movie better, but maybe that's only because I watched that one first (so this one kind of feels like a rip-off).

Just pure stereotypical fun! The movie doesn't pretend to be serious in any way and that makes it a 1 hour and 37 minute trip to funtown! Radcliffe makes a great performance, i forgive you for the Potter horror show Daniel. A must see!

Guns Akimbo is like relaxing into a recliner but a siren blares whenever you start to get comfortable. In this case, the film is the easy chair and the alarm is every time you remember the director attacks people of color and women online.

Too bad, really, because Samara Weaving's streak of kick ass performances and Daniel Radcliffe's prowess in physical roles (Swiss Army Man, anybody?) are overshadowed by a filmmaker who can't keep his shit to himself.
There's not a ton to really say about this film other than it's basically Crank/Gamer with Harry Potter as the lead. Outlandish unbelievable story, lots of bullets, lots of killshots, hokey villains, Radcliffe being clumsy & dorky, and some passable banter. It's a B-movie shoot-em-up and does so well enough that you'll be pretty entertained for 90 minutes. If you go in with those expectations set, you'll have a good time.

Just by looking at the trailer, you can tell this movie isn't going to be that great. However it can hold its own as a movie that can be watched and enjoyed without being taken seriously, good for when you just want to turn your brain off and watch something mindless.
Just pure insanity of a movie. I'm not sure if I love it or hate it but its pretty evident that Daniel wants to get rid of the Harry Potter stamp everyone puts on him by doing weird movies.

Just what I needed this morning. Lots of guns, explosions, blood everywhere, and some pretty good fight choreography. As for the story I enjoyed it. I didn't really have to think about anything that was going on during the movie. The show was just fun to watch.
