Gulliver's Travels 2010

School of Rock meets Gulliver’s Travels. They butchered the book just to make a Jack Black comedy.
Jason Segal is actually closer to how Gulliver is written. So they cast Jack Black as Gulliver and Segal in a supporting role. Segal shouldn’t even have been involved. Especially not Emily Blunt.
Segal should have only been involved if he was playing Gulliver and if it was actually like the book.
The Ted Danson version is the one to watch.

I expected much more from this movie as I liked the old Gulliver's series. The movie has too few funny scenes. There are interesting special effects of Gulliver interacting with the little Liliput people, but it's not enough to be worth watching the movie.

Gulliver goes to the 'School of Rock'. Some fun scenes, but why the fuck does JB have to sing?

I don’t understand all the low ratings. Exactly what were you expecting from this movie? It’s obviously an over the top silly movie. I went in with zero expectations and had a blast watching this. It’s just a fun no brainer family movie.
